Zulfiqar Gul Re: Pakistan won the final of Asiad by Zulfiqar Gul (View MyPage) on Dec 08, 2010 08:38 PM I totally agree with you. No Indian newspaper or website mentioned Pakistan victory despite the fact Pakistani media immediately flashed news of India's victory over South Korea in the bronze model match. Had Pakistan won league match against India, we would not have been able to win gold at Asiad, thinking that we had achieved our objective. But I can tell that people in Pakistan have got changed, they no more consider lose or victory against India as matter of war. For us it's just a another match. Indians have to adopt the same approach if they are to be world unbeaten again. A strong Pakistan and India team is in hockey interest. I think Pakistan and India should resume their bilateral series as soon as possible and that would be indeed of great help popularize hockey in sub-continent again.

Its only relegious bigotry which turn every event between India and Pakistan into war. Apart from diffrence in relegious sentiments, we have almost everything common. Common food - Tandoori roti, sarson ka saag, Common passion - Cricket, hindi films, Nusrat fateh Ali khan, Rahat Fateh Ali khan.....,common language- Hindi Urdu Punjabi, Common problems- dirty politics, corrupt beureacracy, poverty, illitracy, child marriage.
I wish one day, radical relegious sentiments disappear and India and Pakistan become one strongest nation without any problem like Kashmir.
i do not understand why we are mot targeting the the root cause of downfall hockey in India as we all know that international hockey is played on turf and our players start playing hockey on grass...how we can compete with players who pla their hockey throughout their life on a turf. So we need to have turf ground for each and every player
When we beat pakistan in Asiad (concluded recntly), every one celeberated as if we won the tournament, why our thinking limited to Pak. Open any news papaer they talk about our neighbours. But when pakistan lifted the final trophy there was no mention of it in any newspaper. This shows how self centrered and shortsited people are in the news media~I guess this reflects the personality of the readers as the news media writes what the reades like?

people like you didnt spare bhagwan Rama, criticised his wife to an extent that he has to abandone her. You can't trust anyone and how I can I leave you on Ram bharosai?

u r knowledge is limited Mr.Joshi whichever country you belong. If you think Lord Rama abandoned Seeta mata because somebody told her you are living in a fool's paradise. This story shows for the "sake" of people and countrymen a Raja should go to any extent and abandon his near and dear one. Before writing check the Valmiki Ramayana and then write.

of course charlseworth would be an asset to Indian Hockey. But he may not agree now, after the treatment SAI gave him earlier. also our psyche does not get in sync with Aussie ways (HOW CAN WE FORGET GREG CHAPPEL'S FIASCO )

All games are evolving world wide, new rules and new techniques are being developed, our country is left far behind as sports does not get enough importance leaving aside cricket...
Therefore,we need more tactical inputs apart from what we have in the country, this is technical aspect of preferring a foreign coach...
"We also need a foreign trainer as the trainers in India are not that good," Rajpal... Hey can i say Indian Players are not Good so can we have professional Players contracted from India or Foreign....
