If Vishy was born an OBC, the Congress and DMK would have glorifed him and made him a household symbol of success. But then unfortunately for him he was born to a brahmin couple. Were he born a Vanniyar couple, the PMK would have by now held protest rallies all over TamilNadu burning Sibal's effigies and advocated the cause of "Social Justice" and decried the insult meted out to another fellow Vanniyar.
But then as Vishy is neither a Vanniyar nor an OBC nor a dalit nor a Muslim he finds no support in either the Congress or the DMK.
Wake up dear citizens, this country is already under foreign rule. Thanks to all who voted congress back to power.....May God bless all, except Italians....
The people work for Indian government inlcuding Ministers, Secretaries etc think that they are the BOSS. These crooked and corrupted scumbags should be asked for bribe to clear the file and these people need to be kicked out of the country. Morons.. There are only few HEROES are there in the sports, they are unable to recoginize these HEROES.
Its shameful to the Govt of India not honoring the Great son of Indian Chess Master, all the congress leaders are under influence of Italian Madam. Can anyone there to through Kapil Sibal out of country how dare he pointed World chess champion Viswanathan Anand. all this because of your bad Italian politics
Vishy should not accept a crap doctorate these idiots want to give. They show their ignorance by asking his nationality. It is a pity that he was born in this country who have no respect for sports or culture. This is ONE sddest moment in our lives. Unfortunately such moments are occuring with more frequency of late. It is time that all our sportsmen migrate to other countries where their skkills are respected and allowed to be honed. Saina,Bopanna, at al, should seriously consider not to represent the country. There is no point in sacrificing their careers for these idiots. These idiots only are interested in making money for themselves. Let them ask their relatives and cronies to represent the country. This country is not a sporting nation. This is the saddest day in our lives.
It is pity that there are high profile Italians in our Govt, this Kapil is questioning the son of soil. It is well known fact that Rahul uses Italian passport while traveling so that he can't be traced.

Sibal seems to have thought that he is doing some undeserving favour to the greatman... - Great reaction Vishy... we are proud of you.
This man plays with Indian flag next to him, representing India and winning World Titles as an Indian citizen. True that he made Spain his SECOND home, but it is only SECOND home.
Univ of Hyd is a prestigious university which decided to confer honorary doctorate and the useless HRD ministry of India is creating irritating scenes.
The way Anand is brushing aside this useless controversy and continuing his smiling ways is a tribute to his gentlemanly ways. Quite in contrast to our bellicose third-rate politicians and jokerllal parties.
Viswanathan Anand is the only Indian World Class Sportsman. He is the only Indian Sportsman who can win a Title in Europe. Truly he is a Chennai Super King. Other Chennai Super Kings are A.R.Rahman, Muthaiah Muralidaran, Udaya Kumar, Dhanaraj Pillay, Vijay Amritaraj, Narain Karthikeyan, C.V.Raman, S.Chandrasekhar, Ramakrishnan etc.,

Not the only one. But certainly the greatest sportsman of India of all time. It is virtually impossible to take on Russian and East European Grand Masters in Chess, and Anand has done it time and again - above all he is loved and admired.
Regarding world class sportspersons we had Prakash Padukone, Gopichand, Saina ( all badminton ) and a bunch of Billiards and Snooker champions, cricketers, hockey, tennis.
