PMO appointed officers panel.
by biswanath roy on Aug 20, 2010 02:10 PM

after the CVC & media's exposure of scams, delays, poor workmanship/quality of work, the PMO has formed a panel of 10 senior bureaucrats to oversee the CWG works. the question to be asked is what can this panel do at this stage with only 42 days remaining. the works have been allotted, the caterers decided, the logistics work also alloted, which team is to stay where already fixed, schedule for different teams training/practice & which stadium on which date etc also fixed, then what is left to be done? infact it is deliberate tactics by the govt to divert attention of the media, politicians aam admi from the CWG scams, & keep kalmadi from the glare.nothing will happen in the end kalmadi will go scott free.

Guys, Whats done is done.. Now is the time to focus and look at the games with a positive stride to give our country some good name and Not see people laugh at us. I would think with only 40 days to go lets look at it positevley and media to provide a good image to the whole game episode.. be patriotic.. even if the politicians are not.. Cheers

Mohit, I appreciate your positive spirit however for once, INDIA needs to cut a sorry face at an international level. This country as such does not enjoy any name. for many its still the land of snake charmers and monkey gods, illeteracy, poverty and a liability called population. Let the national leaders be subject to ridicule and shame. I am a patriot too but pray that CWG is a massive failure, I pray that massive rains choke up the stadia and spoil the sport. I want to see some shame translating to serious intent of salvaging lost pride.

Mohit, we as citizens can think positive but we can't build the Games stadiums and provide the venues with good facilities...its beyond our capabilities!

good point, positive thinking.. Kalmadi has already been sidelined and others are taking over. government is doing its best to save the games, so all should cooperate with the authorities for national pride.. simply criticising wont help. The corrupt element will get their due after the games.. so carry on, the show must go on..

Can someone tell me how many times a corrupt politican in India has been punished before court of Law. Once the CWG is over, we will have some other issue coming up and this scandel will be put under the carpet. This is what is happening in our country.

Mr. Venugopal, you please go and search the private parts sof Mr. Kalmandi for proof. You may will be able to locate the proof. Stupid argument. Proof can be purchased in India. Witnesses who change their words more than once on the strength of money. That is India and you are asking for proof. Very fine proof is the doctored email Mr. Kalmandi produced before the media.

Stop this NONSENSE CWG we dont want it this way.
It is better not to happen than making it this way. Its a matter of disaster for us as a NATION.
Guys cant take the entire Nation on RANSOM by the name of FAKE-NATIONAL-PRIDE.
Its a Shameless LOOTING SPREE by the name of staging a TAMASHA ....yes TAMASHA becuse just behind the main-venue local-kids are taking a morcha for a 20x20 square metre park which is snatched for developing the name of venue development ....such is the sorry state of players and budding sportsmen.
The HENCHMEN of sports here are all MAFIA BANDWAGON and these IDIOTRICS must stop.

It is sad and shameful that Indian/delhi government hasn't been able to provide proper facilities to the athletes in time as promised earlier leave alone the statement they made that "The delhi commonwealth games 2010 would be the best games ever held"

They should realise that its a matter of international disgrace its ridiculous how corrupt the whole system is and how everything is taken lightly!!!
I am ashamed to be a part of the hosying nation-India...what a let down!!!
