commonwealth games vs asian games
by biswanath roy on Aug 17, 2010 11:01 AM  | Hide replies

in the commonwealth games(CWG) only 17 events are held, whereas in asiad 42 games are held, then how come indian govt is advertising that the CWG 2010 is the biggest sporting extravaganza held by india ever. i feel looking to the much higher number of events held in asian games, the asiad 1982 held in delhi is india's biggest. it appears that because of india's affinity for the anglophiles countries participation (england, canada, new zealand, australia etc)the CWG 2010 is being projected such.

i wish i had been in delhi this time to know the truth so that i can make my opinion once and for all for media and people who are organizing this CWG. media says work is in complete and will not be finish in time.. CWG people says all is in order.. who is telling the truth? any delhi person will tell the truth please ?one thing i am sure is that preparation is not up to the mark as lots of things were never reported such as traffic control, pollution control, people management, crowd control, security etc?
