I still believe that Beckham is still the world's best crosser. His pin point delivery is still the bench mark. He is also the player with most assists for both Manchester United n England.

India is number 1 out of 9 cricket playing nations. England rank is out of 132 soccer playing nations. So India's rank is nothing.

CAN ANYBODY TELL ME WHAT IS THE REAL ACHIEVEMENT OF THIS GUY CALLED BECKHAM IN INTERNATIONAL SOCCER?? FOR ENGLAND HE DID NOTHING EXCEPT EARNING A NAME AS MOST CAPPED PLAYER (115). ONLY 17 GOALS IN 115 APPEARANCES?? ACCEPTED THAT GOALS R NOT THE ONLY ONE THING TO JUDGE A PLAYER'S STATURE, BUT STILL CAN ANYBODY CLARIFY?

The 17 goals were in the int'al matches playin for his national side. Apart from that he has also scored 117 goals playing in the club matches at various leagues.
He was the england captain for the england team from nov' 2000 to 2006..
Twice runner-up for FIFA World Player of the Year..
He was Google's most searched of all sports topics in both 2003 and 2004. He was a mid-fielder and this position its difficult to get chances to more goals. He is the one who creates chances and setup a goal.

Dear Mr. hari,

I think you are ignorant about the game called "Football" otherwise you wouldn't have made this type of comment about a Star Player. Better express your view about Kho Kho, which I think is best suited for you

Because of David Beckham England qualified 2002 world cup finals his last second trademark free kick against Greece drew 2-2 and England qualified ahead of Germany.....he was instrument in demolishing Germany in Munich with a 5-1 away in the qualifiers....his free kick against Ecuador ensured England qualified for quarter final at 2006 world cup....these are some of his acheivements....all star players has ups & downs in life....if he & Owen would have been in the English squad this 2010 WC,then things would have been different for England.

FAREWELL TO ONE OF THE GREATEST ROLE MODELS OF FOOTBALL
by SUDIPTO DASGUPTA on Aug 12, 2010 02:05 PM

David Beckham's exit from England football unit and from international soccer marks the end of an era where we have seen the No.7 player scoring goals, passing the ball accurately and getting the maximum attention from the football crazy crowd.Rather being acclaimed as a complete package,Beckham will be remembered as a role model and brand ambassador for international football over the years.
