Kalmadi ready to face probe
by mohan das on Aug 05, 2010 11:26 AM

Suresh Kalmadi said he was ready to face any probe and assured all those guilty will be brough to book. Since he himself is one of the accused in the scame what is the rationale in behind of he constitute a three member committee to look into the irregularities. He should first resign from the Chairman of the Organising committee and face the charges levelled against him. It is very shameful an international event is being spoiled with murky underhand dealings to convert the common weath into personal wealth. There is no point in his statement that chairman in his individual capacity does not have any financial powers. As the Chairman it is obvious he manages so many affaors and misuse the office powers for pecuniary gains, which has been exposed now. The MMS and Sonia Gandhi should view this very seriously and remove atonce Shri Kalmadi as an image building action. ON the contrary, it will propogate a wrong signal to the nation as a whole.Atleast the public sentiment should be respected.

MOHANDAS KUNNATH, DHNABD.

Where is the MONEY
by KUTTAIAH KUTTAIAH on Aug 05, 2010 06:30 AM

Kalamadi must step down first and only then a proper probe is possible. Centre at the drop of the hat deploys CBI why not now? Is Kalmadi with all that muck around him going to be the one to greet dignitaries when they come to the Commonwealth Games? Unless it going to be a CON Wealth Game? Incidentally where has ALL THE MONEY GONE? The Probe must focus first where THE MONEY GONE. Some pretty big fish must have swallowed this and perhaps there will be a major cover up. Surely it is not JUST Kalmadi. Under the Congress you can make money for years and years and get away unless you get caught. Remember Madhu Koda and the 4000 crores? From the aam admi the departments will ask for certificates for Rs.400/- when Koda was getting away with Rs.4000/- CRORES.

Shame

This is an international event and the country is being watched. I think the corruption, irregularities and the kind of delay in executing the projrcts make any one feel that the country is in the hands of robberers and thugs

Rediff, please desist from using such obscene titles for your articles.

Why would anyone want to know what Kalmadi is ready for in his bedroom?
