Anand's record in recent some series's opening games is superb,, but in 2nd part of series, he lost his way.. we hope that in this series, he maintain his pace..
Careless Writer of this article did not mention anywhere "how many points Each player has scored so far"
Rediff articles are full of such carelessness.... In Cricket, they will talk about an all important match coming up but will not mention the date and time the match starts !!

toplov won the first game..anand won the second and fourth game..three ties drawn..so anand 3.5 toplov 2.5 points..
Anand is clear the best sports person india ever produced.. Next should be the Leander & Magesh ...as they are the only indians who dominated their games in the world...other ppl had some rare apearnace in the world top...also many group games like cricker are jus politics...

some ppl say sachin.. in billion ppl playing cricket selecting 11 is jus a probability..also india never dominated in cricket bcs of sachin.. he played & india gave opps tats it..

Players like Anand are born once in a century. In India it might be once in a millennium. Hence Anand should be given Bharat Ratna. Anand is a leader and faces the opposition single handedly. Players like sachin playing in a team should give more consideration for the team and retire soon.

Well said, and could not agree more on this. Anand is a true champion playing top level stuff with little money motivation [unlike the millions and billions paid to our cricketers] and quite unknown to our cricket crazy nation.

Anand is NOT in "Times 100" List. Sachin has made it ot Times List Three Times. Actually BOTH are Great Players. I fail to understand Why and How camparison is made between Sachin and Anand ?. Different sports different personalities !!!. It is Similar to NEEDLESS comparison between Saina Nehwal and Sania Malik !!

You r the true champion of Indian sports. You have been performing for ages and at top of your game for the whole span of your playing career. Don't bother what this silly country (read Govt.,media,etc.) gives you. The people of India salutes your achievements. I am sure there are more to come. Cheers!
