LACK of MOTIVATION AND PREPARATION BY ANAND
by Rajan Daniel on Apr 25, 2010 10:27 AM  | Hide replies

Anand had shown little interest to retain the world championship from the outset.
Instead of been on preparation he had been involing himself all other things prior to the match. While Topolov was so bussy in his preparation.
I had a doupt about Anand's preparation even before this first match defeat.
Even he shoud have been in Sofia preparing and getting organised and climitise hime self, prior to the match.
You could only reap what you show.
At least do something with wite on the next match. Only a sure winning could pressure back on Topo.
When Anand loose in the biggining very rarely he tend to dominate the rest of matches.
Fingers crossed.

You are right. He has been slowly and surely declining for the last two years. He is currently not Number 1 in the FIDE rankings. He will certainly lose the world title this time and will never regain it back.

Don't crumble under pressure.
by Subrata Mahapatra on Apr 25, 2010 10:23 AM

Anand is a good guy and an excellent chess player but has a habit of crumbling under pressure. I hope years of experience has taught him how to handle pressure and Topolov.

Your name clearly shows you are dumb Indian. Can you tell me how many countries play cricket and how many play chess? To get the records straight Anand is indeed the Number one in Chess officially and Tendulkar is not the No.1 cricket player in the world.

Why people fight?
I am fan of both Ananad & sachin.
These two are greatest sports person India produced in last 20 yrs.
While chess is more competitive sports (played by all US, russia, Europe & all countries)& anand is no.one there. Also cricket is most popular game in india & sachin has carried hope of billion people for last 20 yrs with consistency.
Let us salute both of them.

Anand is not Numero Uno in chess. It is Magnus Carlsen of Norway according to FIDE rankings. Anand is 4th.
After this series is over and when he has lost the title, he will fall further!
