You should include Abhinav Bindra, Karnam Malleshwari, Vijender singh, Sushil Kumar, K.D. Jadhav (All are Olympic medal winners), Sunil Gavaskar, Geet sethi, Pulela Gopichand, etc.

He hasn't reached Sofia. The news is correct. There has been a rumor that he has already checked into Hilton in Sofia. But that's not true. He probably would have been in, as he was scheduled to reach on 16th. But since all flights are disrupted, he's stranded midway in Germany.
I think it's a fair call. Fide must postpone the event by a few days to allow Anand to reach, and acclimatize. Knowing Danailov's (Topalov's manager) shenanigans though, it cannot be ruled out that he'll raise objections, which Fide must overrule considering the validity of the case.
