Getting a Yellow Card is not a crime or a sign of a grave punishment. He's played 1 game, did well for 45 mins; so what if he could not score, no striker averages 1 goal a game. Go Chhetri Go...
I think he would have been better off at QPR in UK, even being 2nd division club its better than crap MLS. He was selected (read: Mittal owning part of QPR) but couldnt get work permit as India dont rank in world top 50 Football ranking. Unfortunate for Sunil.
He may be a capable player, but i dont understand the media hyping his move to US as someone who has made it in the world of club football. It is among the most mediocre in the world, and Beckham was there just for the money 2 yrs back. Even when he went on trials to some lowly club called Queens park last year, Indian media publicises that. And bhutia was a flop at bury, a 3rd division club. No wonder we remain around the 150th mark in world football!I would rather watch genuine international stars like Sachin and Saina anyday

here we are not talking about a ripe fruit. its at the seed nurturing stage stage. Do support rather getting cynical about it as football has way more impact throughout the world than probably any other sports
irrespective of his success or failure he is there to set a precedence. Hopefully others follow the suit which can possibly help indian football to be pulled out of the abyss
Wish this guy goes on to become one of the stars..if he does he surely can motivate other talented footballers from our country...for that you have to succeeed sunill....go sunil go ...
