does that really matter which country she plays for????? she might be the greatest indian player bt she doesn't even come close to even being good on international circuit...when did she went past 2nd round in any of the singles grand slams after that 4th round defeat in australian open years ago.....so doesn't matter mates let her play for which ever country she wants cause it won't cause a butterfly flutter on the international tennis circuit....

Her parents have made it strict that she plays for India and not Pak under any circumstances. If Shoaib forces her that will be the end. It does not matter for which nation she will play, but one thing is clear she will never play for Pak...after all who wants to play for such a nation??

Aren't the entire electronic and print media wasting a lot of National Time on this mundane,inane and trivial issue. Afterall, we are talking about an grossly overrated Tennis Player who has failed to bring any real glory to the country. As far as Malik is concerned, he has been involved in match-fixing and other forms of indisciplines. If Sania Mirza wants to paly for Pakistan, then be it that way. Why we as a ccountry beild an Aura of indispensibility around mediocrity? It is indeed difficult to comprehend. They (MALIK AND SANIA) are free individuals, let them do whatever they want. Let this hoopla be stopped forthwith. Once she marries Malik, let her play for Pakistan if she wishes. The obssession with Malik and Sania is uncalled for.

The media has certainly gone overboard in the shoib-saina-ayesha issue plus BAL Thakrey has lost it, calling sania a traitor. I know many sikhs getting married to pakistani sikh. so its like if a sikh marry its ok but if a muslim marries he is traitor what about the millons of Educated youth from every religion rushing to marry NRI girls & boys to get a US or European CITIZENship GETTING MARRIED IS A PERSONNEL MATTER AND IT SHOULD REMAIN THAT WAY NO COUNTRY, RELIGION OR POLITICIAN SHOULD INTERFERE LET THEM SORT IT OUT

this is utter nonsense that she will play for india...on earth it has neva happened and when its a matter of india-pak its out of questio tht she will play for india...its just a statement to get publicity n false patriotism

Heavens are not going to fall if this mediocre Tennis player statrs playing for Pakistan. As such as far as tennis is concerned, she is definitely beyond her prime. She also seldom goes beyond the Second round even in ordinary--Non Grand Slam tournaments.

In the first case, do u think she will play or will she will be allowed to play in those short tennis skirts by the Mullahs in Pak? She knows this and what more she will never set up home in Pak. I heard reports that her mom was not exactly happy with her choice, but has chosen to keep quiet. In fact she was instrumental in telling Shoaib parents that she will not settle in Pak nor will play for Pak.
How can any father allow his daughter to marry a cheat and one with so many legal issues against him? Is this a business deal, of some sort? As a parent one should be wary about these sort of antecedents before giving away a girl that has been a golden goose for the family! Mirza saheb apki beti ko is be-izzat insan se bachao!
