federer v Nadal

Most likely, neither Federer nor Nadal will play in the davis cup match. The scheduling is not good and the surface is different. Federer is not young anymore. If he plays the Davis Cup match, he will have to miss some other tournament. Its not going to be easy playing clay court in middle of hard court season.
Spain has good enough players to win even if Nadal is not there. Switzerland always need Roger for them to win. Anyways, Federer priorities now are slams and number 1. He'll probably help his team to stay in the world group next year.

I am confused.
If Federer enjoys playing for his country, why doesn't he do it more often?
And he is going to decide whether or not to indulge in something he enjoys i.e. playing for his country, after the Australian Open. To me, it seems he enjoys the Australian Open more than he enjoys representing his country in Davis Cup. I cann't blame him though. It is a question of money, honey!!

I think the era of Federer vs Nadal battles is over, and the war has been won hands down by Nadal.
