Renault has been given a suspended ba. What is meant by it? They are saying that Renault will be participating in next season..Then what is the ban all about? Is it a warning of sorts?
I guess, F1 is not just a sport but a big business (very much like IPL). and every business involves manipulations..... I remember, one Ferrari manipulated Barichello to let Schumi win a race by spending extra time in Pit. But this was outrageous as this involved Life Hazards.... But Y spare Piquet? he brought out the news only after a year, to revange Renault. If he was so truthful, he should have brought this issue to light much earlier? even he should face a ban of atleast a year or two....

Very well said..sudeep..completely agree with u on all points including Piquet....u are referring to the 2002 austrian grand prix,...when baazigar situation happened...and both drivers and ferrari were let scot free... But this is not match fixing for heaven's sake as others are pointing out...this is exploting a lacuna in the 2008 safety car rules and hence is an amazing tactical move to ensure victory for a car which is technically worse than the best...hence i am not sure who is to be blamed more than Piquet......But biggest loser is FELIPE MASSA...poor guy was the leading that race and ended up conceding the championship by 1 point to Hamilton.....
Big teams pulling out. Big teams accepting race-fixing. Teams stealing other teams' secrets and losing the reputation.
Already, more than half of the world is against F1 racing due to its tremendous waste of precious fuel, for no good reason, other than the company's R&D benefits.
I am not sure if F1 survives through all this turmoil.

'fuel wastage' - yes, 'but for no good reasons' - well now this is now part of life & system, half a billion people watch this and the number is increasing. So probably theres a reason for having F1 racing. Rather stopping the race, one could think of using alternative energy, that would be a win-win situation
This is black day in F1 racing. Renault has put me in a spot like the match fixing controversy did for cricket (i stopped watching cricket). These guys should be banned for life (team driver) so that others will learn a valuable lesson..
