From the days I started understanding tennis, I am seeing the grand old man - PAES fighting for the country in Davis Cup... He should be an inspiration for all sportsperson... Its amazing that how he charge himself up whenever he plays for India... So good luck paes... I wish all the best to Bhupathi too and want a Paes-Bhapathi final...
stupid rediff strikes again... first of all the headline is so controversial... how can Paes and bhupathi reach mixed doubles semis??
and secondly, the score mentioned is 7-5, 3-6 instead of 7-5, 7-6..... i wonder if they just post an article without double checking? for god's sake, it is a national news website and thousands of people visiting!

Miss Kavita,
I agree that the headline is misleading but the score is indeed 7-5, 3-6 [10-6]. Since last 2 years, doubles/mixed doubles have a different SCORING SYSTEM at Grand Slams. If the match goes to a 3rd set, then it is played in a super tiebreaker, 10 being the least score needed. It is similar to 7 in a normal tiebreaker. If both teams reach 9-9 in 3rd set, then the winning team need to win 2 additional points in a row
It is good to see these two players of Bhupathi and Paes are still maintaining a very good standard at the International Tennis Circuit and are keeping India's flag high always. They are ageing and that is why they are choosing to play doubles and they are very successful in doubles. I wish them to keep it up, as long as they can.
whenever other sports persons achieve a feat, the indian cricketers start getting nausea. they get insecurity complex over the crores of money they make by advertising for whisky, pepsi-coke & other MNC products.
the unholy nexus of cricketers-BCCI-corporates-fixers-mafia makes sure that other sports don't get enough money to overshadow cricket. their PR managers pay every news channels to report even the news of their sneezing & the channels do that for money.
indian cricketers are dope champions. they all take steroids for performance & early healing after injury. That's why they haven't signed WADA agreement as they all know they'll get caught.
they drink alochol, live like maharaja & make merry. even they feel no shame in advertising for alcohol. utterly shameful !!!!!
while all other sports require strict discipline, it is bloody cricket only where cricketers can drink alcohol every night & play cricket matches the next day.
