What campaign?
by RN Iyengar on Sep 08, 2009 04:24 PM

Sania's campaign? What campaign? It didn't even get off the ground!!
She needs to move to the US and get training under the famous Bolletieri's Tennis academy (like Sharapova did) if she wants to be ranked under 50.

Again again, year after year - series of losses
by Oomshik Tooshik on Sep 07, 2009 05:44 PM  | Hide replies

It's a crying shame after all the media hype. How many times can someone lose lose lose? Every year in every tournament - singles, doubles, mixed doubles 123 crashout.

well done.

This, even as India excels in meaningless doubles that no one cares about. Even in this, Sania does a 3-peat of losing.

Please do not again say 'at least an Indian has come so far, first woman from India etc' - it just speaks of v.low expectations and low standards. Such achievements mean nothing - first rd singles, 2nd rd doubles.... kids younger than Sania from wartorn countries have won GSlams.

The scary thing is - she is the best from India.

We just have to get off this 'best in India, at least a woman from India' nonsense. If we settle for such b's the country won't have any real stars. Please stop even saying 'then what have you done, at least she has lost in Wim'. She's a professional, that's what she is supposed to do.

yeah the scary thing is she is the best we can offer from a 1.2 billion strong people. But then again, tennis is not for everyone. Its expensive and hence its not a mainstream sport in India as of now.

Besides you cannot make any money in tennis unless you win few atp tourneys

Sania Mirza should stop playing Tennies
by Nishat Ali on Sep 07, 2009 02:52 PM  | Hide replies

Fokes have us seen Sania Mirza playing these days, her physic is completely out of shape and not fit to play tennis at highest level. If she wishes to continue playing tennis she should get into shape or else she is wasting time out there. More over it looks like Sania is more dependent on Luck rather than her performance.

I can assure you , she aint wasting her time in the tennis court. She is making money even while losing in 2nd round of granslams, which is usually more than what most people make a year.

plz.let me know who which is the last Indian tennis player who have participate in U.S.OPEN,WIMBLEDON,AUSTRALIAN OPEN AND fRENCH OPEN.It is Sania Mirza. In 100 yrs.none of Indian Tennis Player has got to play in all the above mentioned Tennis Tournament.Tennis AND soccer there is a lot of Competions across the world, only best of countries players take part in it.India is no where in both these game.We are getting cheaper and cheaper day by day.We only talk about cricket that is played among four poorest Asian countries with some get-together of Australia,England and newzealand.
We have made false demi-God to Sachin and Cricket. In cricket there was Gavaskar,Kapil Before, with 100 of other famous players. But in tennis let me know which lady tennis players have atleast taken part in all major Tennis tournament. And answer is no-one.
Stop worshipping cricket and bloody cricketers who play only with 6-7 countries and that too we are never no.1.Sachin is no.1 without ranking no.one ever.

No no! It is not vulgar compared to Dada Kondke's films. If Censor board can find Dada Kondke's films good enough to be shown in theatre, I dare challenge any one to prove my writing to be indecent.

No dear! Not to you in particular! This is a forum where one can hide one's identity and literally blurt out anything without fearing about being slapped on the face. Just like everybody, there is a devil inside me which comes under the veil of total secrecy!
