Greedy Model
by Ravindra Sarvaiya on Sep 07, 2009 02:24 PM  | Hide replies

Let's not be under the impression that Sania is a tennis player and she's playing for the country.

She's just a greedy model. Just throw money at her and she's happy. That's what sponsors are doing at the moment and hence she's not so keen to improve on her game.

Yet the media keeps on covering all her tournament appearances. Stupid media doesn't understand this simple, obvious thing.

There is only one player and only one game is over rated ,that is Sachin Tendya and Cricket.
The real sports person's in India is Abhinav Bindra(first individual olympic gold medalist),Vishwanathan Anand have won many chess world cups.Still cricketers are worshipped for playing among 7-8 poorest countries. In cricket, even commentator(Harsha Bhogle) is earning more than the other sports person.so stop licking cricketers.specially Sachin

she is a greedy model ehh .. who died and made you the moral police chief ? I can assure ya , everyone is greedy in some way or other. And nothing wrong in modeling etc when she can ... I mean, her professional career is not very long.

I bet you would do even more than what you have accused her of doing.

I am not a fan of Mediocre Mirza, but some of the comments you morons make is absurd.

With marriage in sight, obviously she will not be able to concentrate. Let media start looking at Saina instead of Sania.

has she every played well before ? only once by fluke she won some game and she is celebrity . she does not know how to play, at least worlds standard . all the game she played she is out in the first round or the second . She doesnt deserve the kind of celebrity status she is enjoying.

Sania must think of.............
by Don on Sep 07, 2009 02:14 PM  | Hide replies

Sania must think seriously about shifting to Badminton where compitition is less and chances of winning major are very high.
Top 10 will be possible with All England Title.
Her Forehand will be useful more in Badminton than Tennis. Can even surpass Saina Nehwal.
Can beat Chinese at ease than serena, safina, pennetta etc.

Dear Don,
With all due respect, I find the above blog really disturbing, as it is degrading Badminton. What I think is a mediocre player of Sania's calibre will loose here as well. Saina and Sania should not be compared, as both of them play different sport. Sania is a dud in Tennis and one has to accept that.

Don't even respect those people (like "DON") who degrade any sports without even knowing abcd of sports (I think you are afraid by his name). He is thinking that Tennis racket is heavier than badminton racket so any XYZ tennis player can beat top badminton player. Mr. Don, please make right your knowledge about sports else be in your own small empire as DON.

Well frankly ... there is nothing " Mediocre" about being ranked 32 in the world. I do agree that its nothing great,. but hey if that allows her to enter grandslams without qualifying rounds, there is nothing wrong in being above avg player. In my opinion she is oscillating between a decent and mediocre player.

ok VOX... you moron.. if she was not upto world standards , she wouldn't even have qualified in the grandslams. Do you even have a clue of how demanding it is to even qualify in the grandslams ?

I am not saying that Sania is a good player... what I am saying is she is good enough to be in grandslam player

embrassing scoreline in singles clash shows that she is on downhill.
if she is planning to get married soon, she should retire gracefuly.

she should retire gracefully ? At the age of what 24-25 ? under which rock have you been living in ... 6-0, 6-0 loss , yet she gets more money for losing in 2nd round than most people make in a year without taking taxes into consideration.
I think the 2nd round loser gets atleast around $20-30k if not more.

Morons like you should stop writing and even analyzing. its a complete waste of time... maybe its time you retire from life gracefully

Sad end again by Sania...she must improve her game otherwise its bye bye to tennis. So many young talented girls ready for the fight in tennis world, if she continues to play like this, she will be kicked out of WTA.

Kicked out of WTA ? you think WTA is your dad's organization where you can do anything. She performed to par based on her ranking ( i think). Besides , irrespective of how many 6-0, 6-0 losses she gets , as long as she keeps progressing into 2-4th rounds and winning few lower rung atp tourneys , she will always get into grandslams without having to go through qualifying rounds.
