What makes Agassi come clean, only he will know! Looks like Americans get away with cheating! We had sprint queen Florence Griffith Joyner who broke many records by breathtaking timings later found to be a cheat years later! She died soon after! There are rumours about cycling legend Lance Armstrong! For God's sake, let us hope Ussain Bolt is clean! Otherwise, nobody wil believe in sports any longer! Some of his buddies are in boil! Or, are the famous given free chit to fill the coffers through marketing?
There should be clear explanations for the lapses by authorities. Is it that difficult to test the atheletes before the games? All winners have to be tested & results made public in days! We all know how quick the checks can be, even pregnancy tests are a jiffy now, at home even!
Agassi is a legend & colourful personality. But his take that he played tennis only for a living & really hated it, is too much to stomach for the aam aadmi! Another footballer said he does not follow the game much after hanging his boots!
Are the paying fans the real suckers? The world is cruel indeed! A child comes into this place so innocent & soon is in for shocks till the last breath! Despite what makes Agassi a hero to many, let his tribe decrease for the sake of humanity!
Cannot take it but soon waters under the bridge! Sigh, life goes on & on & on & on!!
No one buying the book at all will be the right treatment to this effort of creating unfair sensation. Like in soccer and athletics...can his grand slams not be taken back? If not the money...at least the titles?
i think he took overdose of drugs during interview of biographs, that made him to reveal all these stuffs. Americans & Aussie are always like this - they just want publicity for thier book.... maybe u call them greedy...

among all I think hansie cronje was a true sportsperson who revealed everything during his sporting career & paid the price big time... dont remember anyone else.. still in Ind there are many who have been unprofessional & still hanging in sports either by playing or working for sports

Can't agree more with you.He has lived to his image of a joker & deserves to be condemned severely for his misdeed.
Aare just punish him stripped all his Trophies and Olympic Title also, you just goes on banning Indian Weightlifters and all the World Officils are behind Asian Sportmen and Women, all the Cricketers from Asian Coutries also get Punished and GORA cricketrs are only warned, Just Take Away all the Trophies and Medals from him and Kicked him out of the TENNIS HALL OF FAME
This is often complicated. Here is a champion describing his dumps. That makes them less scary. Besides, one gets to know the bloke was lucky but that luck may not always attend an unwise action as in case of Hingis. So avoid the temptation and somehow pass the slump. His recovery is an example of the possible. He did not cheat his way to the slam titles.
Thank God there are some sensible, honest and real people out there.
If anybody is to blame it is those who accepted his flimsy cover-up. History shows they took the right decision. They released a champion, confident that the system would hang him if he persisted in his downward spiral.
The best punishment for him would be to take half of his earnings from tennis. The amount should be used for upgrading the current drug test mechanism so that no player can do it again. As Agassi was concerned about his fans this give away of half of his earnings would make his fans more happy then ever.....thereby balancing the act he has done....& at same time benefit the future of tennis..
Few days back someone from East Germany has also declared that he and most of the sports persons were taking the performance enhancing drugs in his country, which were giving lots of Medals and bring sporting glories to their Nation. Like Aggasi, definitely there will be others who were and are taking these type of performance enhancing drugs. I am sure Aggasi must be going through some tough emotional depression for all the cheating that he had done, which leads him to disclose this.
If we take into the consideration the World record breaking stuff is happening now a days, it's a pure indications that it is just not human but there is something extra which helps to break these World records. God knows what the people who are now pointing at Aggasi are really consuming to keep in the top form and in the record breaking spree
I think we Indian should be feel more than happy with whatever they have achieved so far in the sporting field and try and continue in the same way. And not to come under the pressure to perform by hook or crook method.
