Its a mere tactic to sell his book
by jayashankar venkataraman on Oct 31, 2009 12:02 PM

This confession looks like a marketing tactics to sell his autobiography book. During 1997, agassi was with injuries and people have forgotten him. These statements are just to create excitement in public to buy his books.

The confession statement given by agassi may still lack credibility and no body can be assured whether he has taken mistakenly or intentionally.. its like giving two different answers for a question.

It is just a publicity and already all people across the globe have noticed and started commenting wasting their time. The people are already eager to buy the books what he has written. We should not fall in this trap.

There is no point in speaking now about 1997. It is very difficult to conclude on this.

Agassi Revelation
by A.Ameenur Rahman on Oct 30, 2009 10:40 AM

At least he is brave and honest enough to tell the truth now. But one thing whatever be the regulatory bodies or drug controlling agencies of late for money all the parties get entwined regardless of the result what may fall. This has become order of the day.
One must appreciate Agassi for having come out with the truth and no body knows how many sports person still at large cheating the sports world and fans.

Crystal Meth or Methamphetamine causes intense euphoria.
IT IS NOT a performance enhancing drug.
So pls stop giving a lecture on Agassi's tennis skills. He came back despite the addiction.

Atleast spend some time reading up..before making ridiculously obnoxious comments.

by vinay furtado on Oct 30, 2009 09:45 AM

This is nothing new. It is all well known that americans are cheaters in all spheres of life, no wonder they win gold medals by using drugs and by influencing the sport administrators. This is uncle sams doamin - drug cheaters

Drug cheat's should be banned for ever

No wonder he could make a comeback after ranked 141, to win many more slams. ALl the tennis fans must be feeling cheated, esp his opponents who played him in those finals. Roger and Nadal are clean and successful, so Agassi should be forgotten for ever. Atleast Indian sports fan can be satisfied that none of our heroe's like Sachin, Dhoni,Harbhajan,SAnia etc are caught taking drugs.

Taking Amphetamine would not have propelled him to no 1.

@sandeep,
to clean cricket, tell those Indian cricketers to sign WADA rules....only that rule can keep sports clean...otherwise may be another agassi will happen in cricket also, bcoz at that time of agassi drug test is not perfect and had loopholes, but now though signing WADA rule affects ur private life, still thats the best way to keep sports clean

You talk you're some WADA official who has done dope tests on Sachin and the other cricketers by making such a statement... and if they are caught with drugs someday u'll be as disillusioned as all tennis fans are right now...
