This man is at the helm of the Indian Olympic organization for such a long time, inspite of India's poor, disgusing performance under him, particularly after our hockey team failed to qualify for the olympics. He is not at all qualified to deal with sports & our governments whatever the party in power continued with him. There is something fishy. It has to be investigated, about his continuing in power and who is actually interested and benefited by this. Corrupt people !
Kalmadi must have been busy fighting all along . thats why so much of delay. all to replace Hooper is certainly a tactics to deflect the blame.
Its high time that PM Manmohan singh should replace Kalmadi and his cronies including Lalit Bhanot without giving ot a second thought.
In my opinion, Lalit Bhanot's act to prevent Hooper giving interview has let India's image in very bad light. It simply reflects how much freedom we have in India, how co-operative,how much focussed on work at hand, how professional and how mean could these politician be.
I have second opinion too. May be Hooper is not efficient or whatever. But when work is urgent, should not we work together in happy atmosphere?
Projects can be completed without Hooper or Kalmadi, but it is important that all of us end up doing it happily and enjoying it as well.
Because of this , I think Kalmadi,Bhanot and cronies should be removed immediately. They are not worth forming a team.
I will tell you guys this man kalmadi should be sacked-first for doing a shoddy and inept job of preparing delhi for the C games! And now for plotting and scheming with his cronies to shift the blame of gross mismanagement to others (incld Mr Hooper). During the press conference by Flannel one could see his discomfort and unease cause here were a bunch of experts who were laying bare their mismanagment of Indian Olympic committee. Does he not care for India’s pride at all. Most of the people I have talked with are soo ashamed of our preparations but instead of feeling apologetic look at his audacity and arrogance. He is a non performing inept and egoistic politician! He should be sacked!
