India can get chance in 2020 Olympic, that is what Kalmadi ( sports Minister)thinks (and feels).It will be nice if T20 Cricket included in Olympic 2020 with India as Host.If Rio can make it, why Not India ( New Delhi ).
There were a lot of dissatisfactions showed by commonwealth committee. What are we doing? Can't we do things at least that will satisfy commomwealth committee. I hope Indian inefficieny is not shown in an international event.
First there were issues that Commonwealth games village is built on the Yamuna banks and it was cleared. Now, we're slow in building. I think it's Nation's pride. We should show that we're a real economic strength.
Friends, Its time to pause, take a deep breath, and think - while the other BRIC partners are holding Olympics, can we even hold CWG? Delhites know it best - NO WE CAN'T. Any one who has seen Delhi knows that it just isnt a city worthy of holding a international event - security, people manners, infrastructure, discipline, crime, policing.. just name, it we have the filth ! What's more astonishing is this- while no 3rd world city is world-class, others take this opportunity to bury the lethargy and produce a spectacle. Even Delhi did this under Indira Gandhi (we had 0 flyovers and Delhi suddenly went to 7-8. sorry too old, dont remember the numbers). What did we do now? Zero. Let's be prepared for this friends - this is going to be our last international sports event for a long long time. Who would like to come to that filth when there are better cities vying for the pie? Bharat Mata Ki Jai .. how does it harm to do slogans, anyways !!

I visited Delhi couple of months ago. I thought Delhi was better than any other American city.

It all depends on what part of a city one visits, London tourist areas are as clean as a An operating theater of a hospital. Paris,Rome etc are all clean including Delhi. but once one steps away from the tourist area all these cities are are dirty as a toilet pan that has never been flushed and used by all. Even Dubai has its slums.

Really? Which US City are you comparing with sir? May be I have a 1st hand experience of that American city, and give my views?
Delhi is the best city in India, by far, by all standards. The only thing people get to gripe about Delhi is the crime rate, what they forget, however, is that the crime stats are for NCR, not delhi. this includes the crime stats for gutter states like haryana, u.p. etc Delhi, per se, kicks a$$
Anyone who has recently been to Delhi would agree with me.
Well congrates to Rio. I am sure they will do a excellent job of hosting the first ever olympic in Latin America.
I am sure India will also host it some day in future. We are hosting the common wealth games and I am sure outside world will be looking at our managment capacity on that. I am sure India will do great in hosting common wealth games.
