Nadal's final match in his group against Djokovic should also result in a defeat for Nadal. His game has become very weak and so far has lost both the matches in straight sets.

True, in this spell of poor form that Nadal is in at this moment, he would become easy meat for Djokovic unless he reinvents his game to cause a major upset.

He already did take a long break. The problem with Nadal is that he is short of confidence and the zing in his shorts are missing. He may have to tremendously lift his game in order to fancy his chances against the top ranked players.
NADALS GAME IS NO LONGER WHAT IT WAS LAST YEAR.THERE IS NO POWER IN HIS SHOTS AND HE SHOULD KNOW THAT SLICING MAY BE SUITABLE IN A GRASS COURT ONLY.TOP SPIN SHOT CAN BE EFFECTIVE ONLY WHEN IT IS A CLEAR WINNER.WHERE ARE THOSE CLEAR WINNER SIDELINE SHOTS?GLAD THAT HIS FIGHTING SPIRIT IS INTACT.TO LOSE TO SODERLING AND DAVIDENKO THAT TOO IN STRAIGHT SETS MAKES ME SAD.IF HIS GAME CONTINUES IN THIS MANNER,THAT WILL MARK THE END OF OF AN ERA.NADAL MUST CHANGE HIS GAME STRATEGY.MORE POWER AND CLEAN WINNERS AS IN THE PAST K.GOPALAN

With the same top spin shorts and slicing, he was winning earlier. The main problem today is that he hits the ball too short for the opponents to pounce upon it. Nadal must hit deep shots on both the wings of the baseline. Ironically today Davydenko was doing that against him and outlasting him in rallies which was seldom done earlier. Nadal is a case of peaking too early and unless he refines his strategy, he is in for tough times.

Don't count Nadal out my friend. Champions have a way of coming back and he is no different. hw will get back to a good level of fitness during the off season and with that his confidence will be back. With six titles ( and on 3 different surfaces!!!) he is no flash in the pan.And he is still very young. So I'm sure we will see a resurgent Nadal in 2010.

At the moment he is down, but whether he is out, only time will tell. However, you can never underestimate a toughie like Nadal and hopefully he will come back with great vigour, strength and the urge to win, the qualities which made him a Champion in 2008 dislodging the GOAT Federer who was suffering from monoclousis thus preventing him from exhibiting his best.
