Actually I started to see tennis in Sampras and Agassi era. J.Henin, B.Becker and P.Sampras were also very good.

all the three women players are beautiful but overrated in tennis .there was no quality player to challenge graff since monica was knifed by graff fan at hamberg. martina and others were at the fag end of their carrier, which helped garff to rule W.T.A. kim clijtersCOULD NOT OVER COME justin and willams sisters in her prime time and she was a one slam wonder till she won us open last year .Anna good for nothing except beautiful legs not a single WTA tittle, always known for off court reasons

Without Drugs / steroids NADAL is a dead duck
by avishek roy on Nov 26, 2009 11:01 AM  | Hide replies

Forget injury !!! Nadal is not getting his daily dose of Drugs / Steroids after the ITF have implemented the new WADA Clause for all international tennis players ...
Now any good player can beat him in straight sets ... He stopped wearing sleeveless T-shirts these days to hide his sagging muscles without steroids ...
Come on Rafa - Get a new steroid which can fool the dope tests ... you will be no 1 again ...

No surprise....
by Anurag Rathore on Nov 26, 2009 10:50 AM  | Hide replies

Nadal is not a kind of player who can dominate so long. His injury-prone game never impressed me.
Finally media will realize that they were overhyping him and Nadal era was never exist.

I have lot of hopes from D.Potro, A.Murray and N.Djolovic in near future for top 3 spot. However Nadal is not as bad and will reamin in top 10.

If there is one player who spoiled Nadal's party, it was Robin Soderling. He demolished Nadal at his favourite French Open and after that defeat, Nadal is a pale shadow of what he was earlier. Now every player in the tour is fancying their chances against Nadal and he is not appearing fearsome as he was when he dominated the French Open. It is clearly evident that Nadal is sliding down hill and his confidence is at a low ebb. Davydenko did not play his best and served quite poorly dropping less than 50% of first serves in and still he was able to eject out Nadal from the tournament. We do not know for certain whether Nadal is in his last leg, but at the moment he appears to be on a sticky wicket and his game has deteroriated.

don't write off nadal or federer. They are the kind of players who can bounce back from any situation.

Nobody is writing off Nadal. He can bounce back. But, the path ahead is going to be very thorny for Nadal with the depth in Tennis getting that much deeper. There are now 10-12 quality players on tour who can beat regularly the top 3 on their day. The problem for Nadal now is that since his weaknesses in the game has been exposed, his opponents have begun to believe that they can beat him and he appears no longer a threat. The confidence level in Nadal is now pretty dismal and unless and until he plays aggressive and attacking Tennis, he stands no chance atleast on the Grass and Hard Courts. He may still be a force to reckon with on Clay. But that remains to be seen once the Clay Court season starts for good.

Actually problem is Nadal is not mentally strong to play high quality tennis in pressure. He was good till he was underdog. One defeat in French open after 5 years has effected his morale
very much.

Nadal's fan can only imagine the circumtances Federer faced after wimbledon defeat in 2008. That time whole media and experts were against him and demoralizing him.

To compare Federer and Nadal is preposterous to say the least and even Nadal does admit that Federer is the greatest. The records speak for themselves. 22 consecutive finals in Slams is something incredible and the next best stands as only 10 by Lendl. Federer is truly a class apart and has more versatility in the game than Nadal has. He is a Tennis genius and has all the shots in his arsenal. The problem with Federer is only that he gets too ambitious when it comes to shot making and that leads to creeping unforced errors sometimes. Having said that, this aggression in him also gives the opportunity to produce some of the best tennis shots the game has seen. Nadal has much to prove to be called as Great and considering his present form, that seems at quite a distance.

Something is basically missing in Nadal's game after he came back from injury. Obviously the fire power is lacking and he loses his confidence in important moments of the game. The fitness regiment which was undergone by him to reduce his muscles and weight in order to avoid strain to his knees is probably hurting him now in the form of less power imparted to his ground strokes by his weary left hand. He is hitting balls too short for the opponents to have a go at it. Moreover his serve is not penetrating enough to win cheap points. Whether the Nadal's era is over, we do not know as in Sports we can never predict. But, what is pretty obvious is Nadal seems a pale shadow of his past and is looking jaded.

It is too early when the tournament is still in the Round robin stages. The pick of the tournament so far is Soderling and he is a real threat to any title aspirant. Having said that, Federer has a overwhelming record against Soderling have beaten him over a dozen straight times. Will he make it the 13th time ? Only time will tell. But, before that Federer has one more tough match to go against Del Potro and I predict Federer winning it in 3 tough sets.
