Careful what you wish for my friend. The indian society is built on freedom of speech and expression. If the sharia law is implemented here.. u might get lashed for blogging too :)

Ostracise and boycott
by Haramohan Roy on Nov 13, 2009 11:32 AM  | Hide replies

The world bodies - like the UN, the FIFA or the World Bank - should now start ostraciseing and boycotting the government of Sudan for repeated human rights violations.

I shudder to think of a society that derives pleasures from lashing people!

I also wonder at a society that prohibits alcohol!

The basic problem is in defining guilt. What we consider as guilt of terrorism is punishment in terms of the terrorists. Muslim clerics have the habit of defying the laws of land and having their own say, put forward in the name of allah.Everybody defines guilt in his own way and there comes the necessity of implementing law which is formed by intellectual thinkers but unfortunately is hardly implemented.
