Very sad, Enke was on course to a berth for Germany in 2010
by Kaushik Ganguli on Nov 12, 2009 06:02 PM

Robert Enke was on course to be the first choice to play for Germany in the FIFA World Cup 2010. Now it will be someone else and though Enke was not an established player, 32 is relatively young for a keeper.

This is the second high profile sportsman to suffer from depression after Marcus Trescothick. I really feel bad for his wife and daughter.

Why can't depression be accepted in society without the stigma and jibes of weakness? This is a true reflection of a heartless society!

Gita, Very true. It is this atitude which has held Indian civilization for a long time. Hope it endures.
