Roger is the greatest. because 1) he is the only one to have reached semifinals of all grand slams for five consecutive years. Perry, Laver, Emerson, Sampras, Borg, McCenroe, no one has done so in the last 100 years. This is stunning achievement. Number of slams he has may be surpassed. But this record is mighty impossible to break.
2) Roger is the only one to have titles everywhere, in desert, in cold mountains, in sea coast, in indoors, practically everywhere for seven consecutive years. No one prior to him nor his compatriots have been able to do this.
3)The number of titles and slams he has won while holding No.1 ranking has also not been done by anyone and I dont think anyone will do.

Apart from things listed by rajmohan one of the tallest award won by Federer is LAUREUS SPORTS AWARD - FOUR Consecutive times. No one including Tiger Woods Or Michel Shumi. has done that , Laureus Sports award is sufficient to explain how great Roger is... see the selection comeetee, nominees and
Past winners for the same award and every thing will be clear.
