Whenever there's cricket around, the news just gushes in!
Else, there's nothing on this planet...
I am as avid a fan of cricket as I am of others - F1, Tennis, Shuttle, Darts, Athletics, ping-pong etc (to name a few an no bragging intended).
But the partiality shown by Rediff is glaring in its simplicity that they put French Open results that are already in the morning newspapers :D (and I read almost 80 per cent of the newspaper when I get back home from work).
So, what extra is Rediff doing??
Well... let me see.. Slide shows of bikini calendars and bikini-clad women, gossip columns, unnecessary and useless "Layoff tales"...
C'mon people, wake up to the 21st century... the media have hit the nail on the head.. but the nail can be their lotto or the coffin.. ;)

Oh and BTW (like the gr8 media), Federer somehow managed to win against a surprise AcaSuso :D (That shud have been news ;) )

Cheers!

Oh and also, without taking any stance...
I have often seen the following, both net and newspapers (forget abt TV, I do not even have the imagination to compare them against anything!)
"Sania breezes into second round" or "Sania sails into second round" with a (old) picture of the lady (more often than not), and this on both print and electronic media.
The very next day (unless play is cancelled or "madam" does not play), there will be a feeble four-row item at some obscure corner of the same media "Sania loses in second round".
So often have I seen this, that I dont even bother to see "which" round nowadays.
Sometimes, when (and if) I see "third" round, I raise my already over-aged brows and smile... which doeant last more than 24 hours...

Wish someone who thinks not from his bottom but from his head is at the helm..

No wonder the so-called "aam aadmi" taught a fitting lesson to the undesirable elements.. Hope the audience also does the same to inept people
