Now it is proved beyond doubt that sania is no more a singles slam player. It is better for her to concentrate on doubles with suitable partner. Other wise sania performance will be deteriorated further
Again lost in 1st round, it's rediculous. Better she should quit and join in `b' grade south indian movies. Will earn a lot of money from there. Hopeless
Yet, it was Sania who was chosen to represent the country in the Olympic Tennis, EVEN THOUGH SHE WAS INJURED !!!! Sania went on to make an appearance at te Olympic tennis event, played poorly, and then acted as though she was a martyr, and had done her country a great service by playing through her injury. The question that Sports Minister Suresh Kalmadi needs to answer to the nation is : If it was known that Sania's nagging wrist injury would hamper her game, then why was the No. 2 women's tennis player of India not allowed to represent India at the Olympics?
If Sania was injured, she should have stepped aside to allow the No. 2 player to represent India. After all, in a country of 1 billion, do we not have any other female tennis players ?
1) " ... six double faults she committed in the very first set." 2)" ..Sania's failure to convert any of the four break points that she earned..." 3)"... 14 unforced errors..."
So, by going through these facts, it is evident that the defeat was only due to lack of practice, determination and dedication to the game ... and not what sania claims that "clay court is not one of her favorite..."

Selection board is another problematic area where politics and power prevails badly. Also, the fact is, it takes years to select and groom a player of international mark... and new entrants gets this delayed hammer.
