last time i had watched India Pakistan was in Delhi many years ago.it was just awesome.unlike cricket both teams were supported by the crowd.Pakistan won that match 3-2 and they received a standing ovation of over 15 min by the crowd.we need to revive Asian style of hockey because that's the best.no other sport has seen so many changes in rules,just because Europeans want to adapt it to their styles.field hockey is not ice hockey that they want it become eventually.
I believe, to revive hockey more marketing is required. It is a great game, fast and furious, lot of adrenaline flow. Even girl's hockey is also of very high standard.I wish to see hockey matches in TV but alas ... :(
India will win Asia Cup without any sweat. it's a well-balanced sde. Pakistan will fly home without making it to the semi final. i predict India - South Korea Final that will be won by India 3-1. Next year World Cup Final will be played between India and Spain with socreline 5-3 in India favour InshAllah. This India team has some spark and it deserves going distance.
I think that even before India begins its campaign in the Asia Cup, we Indians can take solace from the fact that the 2 coaches, Harendra Singh (present) and Jose Brasa (future) seem to have a good rapport between them....both are supporting each other and saying good things - this is really a good sign and really augurs well for the team in times to come.
