FORCE INDIA
by Manish Kumar on Mar 30, 2009 05:52 PM

Also, This article needs special mention for the Force India F1 Team. The FIF1 Cars showed good race pace and reliability. Only, it hadn't for the pit stop blunder that Fisichella made in the dying moments, Force India could have straightaway earned some good points in the first race of the season, in their reincarnated avtaar.

Hats off to see the team atleast in the middle..

Rediff, update the article, now Lewis in a third place, following 25s delay penalty imposed on Trulli, for his mistake during final safety car operation.

Some truths from the Australian GP
by Cool Mister on Mar 30, 2009 01:31 PM

Many of the teams do not display their cards during testing. So the Aussie GP did expose some interesting facts -

1) Brawn GP leads : The Brawn GP team undeniably have the fastest car. But they too share a common problem with the other teams - degaradation of the softer option tyres. Honda must me regretting their decision to sell the team.

2) "Diffuser" teams are ahead : All the 3 teams with the controversial rear diffuser - Brawn, Williams and Toyota - performed well. So expect the other teams to furiously work on a similar device for their cars.

3) Red Bull and BMW can be strong contenders : Vettel and Kubica displayed strong pace in their non-KERS, non-diffuser cars.

4) KERS works : KERS (Kinetic Energy Recovery System) has proved to be a big boost for overtaking - did you notice how effectively Hamilton used it. KERS is also highly effective in preventing a faster non-KERS car from overtaking you as demonstrated by Alonso hitting the booster button to get away whenever Timo Glock attempted to overtake him.

5) Malaysia will be different : The Albert Park circuit in Melbourne is always an anomaly. Expect the order to change marginally in Malaysian GP next week as that circuit requires a higher downforce.

6) Big guns have to improve fast : Both McLaren and Ferrari have a lot of work to do if they are to emerge as championship contenders.

Australian GP was th bad day for ferrari like last year. Two times massa failure to finish because of his car failure in Aus GP.
But ferrari is always strng in high speed corner circuit like malasia.
Hope Kimmi & Massa wil get P1 & P2 in Malasia.

It is not like they're doing it illegally or trying to hide it. They've mentioned all the details at the bottom of the article in the disclaimer. I don't understand what's the problem with that. Not everybody has their own reporting infrastructure. Someday you'll start saying that "NDTV India is showing clips from Star Sports that's copy paste".
If you don't like what rediff is doing don't come here. It's not like you don't have a choice... go someplace else.

Everyone expected Lewis Hamilton will win inaugural F1 2009 race. It was won by another Briton Button. Very rarely Britons are winning major events. Good luck, Force Briton.

who expected Hamilton to win? Go to betting websites, and you'd see Hamilton was 10 to 1, a month back, which is a good indication that no one expected him to win this. After the qualifying sessions, he was 100 to 1!
