Vijay Mallya's Force India has been at the bottom of the pool in all the races last year -the first year of its participation. It has started at the bottom of the table yet again, where the drivers seem to have reserved seats.
Of course this money he spends on Farce India does not come from his considerable, personal wealth pool. The money spent on his F-1 team is all presumably tax payers money, or shareholders' money.
No one (including members of his companies' boards) protests as Mr. Mallya continues to waste tax payers' money on useless pursuits, just to satisfy his ego. There will be a lot of riteous indignation and "I told you so" only when the wasteful expenditure blows up in his face or another Satyam happens.

When all the othres F1 teams do not have any "nationality" symbol attahced to them and rather they are known for their brand names, then Mallaya attached the "India" tag with his "personal" F1 Team. IT would be shameful to call it as "INDIAN" team and watch them always struggling for last two spots. Nobody in "Force India" is an india accept its Owner Mallay, neither the drivers nor the technicians. Then why Force INDIA. I dont think its something to feel "proud" to have F1 team. Its all a different league.
