This was bound to happen
by S Dutta on Mar 26, 2009 11:06 PM

Aussies want Davis Cup moved out. Britain has already moved a step ahead and didn't send it's Badminton team.

No wonder India is heading the Pak way. The message going think and fast around the world after the IPL fiasco is clear, "India is an unsafe place". Next impact would be tourism.

Shame that at the fag end of it's tenure UPA gave such a blow to India's image by not allowing to stage IPL.

Cricket move - a slippery slope
by Tamil Indian on Mar 26, 2009 11:01 PM

When even Indian cricket that has clout moves out of India all others are going to follow suit. No question BCCI and Govt ego has led to this... There should have been a work around for the dates. Shame on BCCI...

gentlemen's game turning to Ugly men's game...
by naveen singh on Mar 26, 2009 10:59 PM

This is just the begining guys! the consortium creted by politicians, industrialists and some former cricketrs has eaten up the very purpose of the game, which is supposed to be gentlemen's game. We have to host several other tournaments gong ahead in India including the most sought Common wealth games, and this definitely doest send the right message. Hope this consortium of no so 'gentlemen'who never represent the true indian sentiment, will understand this some day!or will be forced to undersatnd by the government regulations.

Right said bro.. very right said.. even i wish If Gandhi and Nehru were alive today, they'd have repent on their decision to make India a secular country after seeing all these.. Muzlims cant be trusted, is a universal fact.

I'm sure Manoj and Shamsher's father remain unmarried... hence they've been instilled with hatred about fellow brothers....

Brother..may be u don't consider me as your brother.
FYI Pakistan and Bangladesh are Islamic countries and India is a secular country. Please refer to your social studies books.
Lets talk about my country India..yes it a worrying factor that hindoos in kashmir diminished. Terror is one of the reason.
You mentioned the Muzlim population went up...yes it did..how about this chritians went up to 5% from less than 1%.

Its all in your mind brother..i am Indian muzlim and i am pround of that..i feel sad when people like u and Manoj...criticize without knowing the root cause. If u are an Indian talk like an indian...Goto school and get your basics right.

Rediculous Australians
by a r on Mar 26, 2009 10:30 PM  | Hide replies

It is rediculous on Australia's part to asking something like this. It is very premature thinking from them like petty thiefs.

The questions they should ask theselves first:
Is there any threat to their team ?
Is there any strong reason to feel India is not safe ?

India is economically and politically strong unlike Pakistan (they have terrorist attacks every other day).

India is politically and economically better than Pak only in Cricket. Otherwise there are more terrorists hidden in the veins of India than Pak.

if ipl was played in india and something happened midway.. everyone would blame india and pull out mid way and maybe not even return later..
the govt also knew that shifting ipl isn't a good idea as it may show that we are not confident abt security..
but outsiders maynot understand how big and complex our elections are..
so atleast let us respect that..
everyone will blame the govt tomorrow if something hapened during the ipl in india..and call the govt greedy ...
and wats the big deal.. next yr ipl will be back in india ..
this is just a one off exception..

why r politicians slow..?
by amit shah on Mar 26, 2009 10:22 PM

terrorists attacked mumbai. if u look at map of india and consider kasmir as head and kerala as legs then mumbai becomes index finger of your right hand. when v r attacked why the hell are v waiting for uncle's approval from america. what do we want to convey the world. does gandhigiri really works with people who have total vacant space in their heads. the bosses of the perpetrators have done enough flip-flop. please fight them and silence them once and for all. i think what budget is spent for compensation for victms is sufficient enough to destroy them. staying in fear the whole life, awaiting another attack, having no trust environment is this really a place that Gandhiji must have tought. talk in the language that they understand. why should v worry about americas war on terror. they have had only one blow and either myself or some of my indian brother/sister are facing it daily. enough is enough.. dear prime minister please declare an all out war on all terrorists be it from our neighbour or from all naxal effected areas. please give us peace of mind and a pleasent environment..
