Great win for Rafa
by kieran dsouza on Mar 23, 2009 05:41 PM  | Hide replies

in their 2 earlier encounters, Rafa had lost to Murray, 1 match due to injury. So this was a great victory for him to reemphasize his numero 1 status. By the way, just how good is Murray? He seems to be able to thrash Federer whenever they face each other on court

"Rafael Nadal" The very name strikes terror in the hearts of all tennis players.
He is a very exciting player who is very tough to beat as he fights very hard to win the match. Now that e has won the Indian Wells it is clear that he can play in any ground.

KEEP GOING RAFA

Rafa could be the man
by Raja Bas on Mar 23, 2009 02:46 PM  | Hide replies

To me , the toughest open to concur is French Open. Many in the Open Area have failed to do so. Now look at Rafa - He has already grabbed 4 out of them. Now it was obviouos that , if he could improve his hard court skill - he will be the player to defeat. If he stays fit - he will concur all the heights - even a slam. I still remember when Vijay Amritraj said in a sports chanel in 2007 " Before Roger wins French Rafa will Capture Wimbeldon" . I still believe Roger has a chance to equal Pete - Probably in Wimbledon this year - But in the Long run Rafa will rule and Break all the records - Thats the beauty of achieving greatenss at early age - Like our master blaster Sachin. I am still a die hard fan of Roger

Rafa is a great player and great fighter with loads of talent, but my thinking is that he does not have the flair and grace of Fedex play and shots. His play seems to be like with lot of hardships and grinds the opponent. But hats off to him as he is the best player on circuit right now.

Rafa is the true champ!
by Anuraug Rathor on Mar 23, 2009 12:43 PM

Rafa is the new champ and the true champ.Fedex fans can only twiddle their thumbs and hope someone else beats Rafa so that Fedex may win.For all the big talk about Fedex's achievements,Rafa has already doen things Fedex never managed to-win Wimbledon and French in the same year, top it off with an Olympic Gold, semi final finish at US open, and then win the Aus Open. Now Fedex should concentrate on bettering his record against other players like Andy Murray who already leds him 6-2.It is clear Fedex cant touch Rafa anymore.

Nadal wins Indian Wells
by mg on Mar 23, 2009 12:38 PM

Nadal is a true champion and he proved it once again when he bet Nalbandian saving lots of match points. The competition is getting even and flat. The dominance of US in tennis is now broken, which is good for the game also.

Ranking........
by Anurag Rathore on Mar 23, 2009 11:53 AM  | Hide replies

1.Nadal - 14360
2.Federer - 11000
3.Djokovic - 9240

Just see the points difference. Nadal is on his peak and there is no surprise that he is miles ahead from others. It is his age to do miracles and grasp as many titles as he can.

But the surprise is points difference between Federer and other opponents. Federer is miles ahead from other opponnets in age of 27. Look at his level, consistency, stamina in this age. Hats off to Federer who has beaten Verdasco easily in previous round.

Points difference between Fedex and others is due to his past laurels,it will even out by the end of this year, even rookies are beating Fedex these days,It is time for him to gracefully retire as it pains to see him getting thrashed on court.
