Fedex - Ever unstoppable
by Vijay on Jun 30, 2009 01:08 PM

Way to go man! I always admire your tenacity. Nadal is an extremely good player too. I find this too unfair to compare these two players as Fedex has already notched up scales of achievement and Nadal is already showing his class but need to be consistent to enter the elite bracket. Ups and downs can always be there for a sportsman but one need to be more resilient to stay there on top for a longer period to join the panel of legends. Nadal is still on the way to become one.

Don't compare & Love the Game
by Roger Federer on Jun 30, 2009 10:24 AM  | Hide replies

My dear Fans,
Its not fair to compare any two good players. Every one on this earth knows I am a very good tennis player and so as Rafan (As I call Nadal. We are greatest enemies on court and and greatest friends off court.

After the game against Soderling yesterday, I thought I address my fan across the globe. I request you to encourage me, wish me good kuck for my 15th title and simply enjoy and love the game.
I watched only a part of Karlovic's game and I have to find an answer to his deep serves. Hope I will do that in my QF match against him.

After my QF match this time I shall show two fingers to the air, after my SF my fist and after the title, the left hand up in the air.

Bye all of you.

Feddie

Nadal vs FedEx
by rajitha kr on Jun 30, 2009 06:48 AM  | Hide replies

Who is better? Well, my opinion is that both are greats with Federer having a slight edge. Why? Nadal is 22 and has 6 Slams of which 5 area at French. Federer has 14 slams. Now, for Nadal to reach 14 he has to win around 5 more french opens plus a few other slams, going by his love for clay court. Of Federer plays for another 3 years, he can have around 5 more slams out of 12.

Nadal cannot match Federers Fitness levels because, his game is more oriented towards power play, determination and physical strains. This can last for say 2-3 years and makes him more injury prone. On the other hand, Fed has more evolved game and need not drain himself physically.

So it is more likely that Feds record would not be broken by Nadal.

That's what I say!
Nadal's game is power game and a power game doesn't lasts long. I wish Fedex wins this title and set a new world record, because ti'll release all the presure on him. I have seen this kind of presure on Sachin when he's chasing the world record of the most runs in test cricket.
I wish Fedex all the best.

1stly Nadal has won 4 french, 1 Aus & 1 Wimbeldon, Nadal game is a mixture of power and volley and he can run the opposition out with his coverage in court. soo wait for him to get back, he'll win more grandslams

BIG DISCOVERY?? TIE BREAKER CAN BE WON ONLY IF THEY HAVE A DIFFERENCE OF 2 POINTS OR MORE LIKE 9 7, 7 4, 7 5, 7 1, 11 9, TO GET INTO THE TIE BREAKER THEY SHOULD BE TIED AT 6 SET A PIECE APART FROM THE LAST SET WHICH DONT HAVE ANY TIE BREAKER BUT SHOULD BE WON WITH A DIFFERENCE OF ATLEAT 2 SETS.

Another easy win
by Guest on Jun 30, 2009 12:29 AM  | Hide replies

Roger Federer seems to very determined to break Sampras's records of 14 grand slams. All the best to him. Roger's next two matches will be tough, so the real test should start from the quater-final stages.

now as he lost to fedx in the finals just before the french open he knew he had no chance at french too and the pressure took a toll on him and he lost to soldering whom fedx beat very easily

we will only know this when these 2 met at a Grand Slam final, and no guesses who is come out on top in that pressure match, as always, 'nadal should', because of his mental block over federer in Grand Slams.

Forget about beating Fedex's record in future! Federer has made 20 out of 20 (in a few days it'll be 21) consecutive semi's, and more precisely 19 finals out of 20. He's the skill, fitness that Nadal doesn't have. Nadal's game is power game and it's worn out him.
