Idiot bid is for players and not for toilet cleaners...players like ronaldo & beckham gets such prize because club which they are playing for will earn more than money spend on offer...U seems to be a toilet cleaner from La liga....

anurag, i dont think it is fair to compare 2 sports, also tendulkar is one of the legends of cricket, we must be proud of him, after all he has given his best for the country, he has been a gentleman in the sport on and off the field, there is no ego and avoids controversies, it doesnot become us to degrade him, wether he earns or not is of no consequence to us as sports lovers, we do enjoy his cricket.

Need Defenders
by kundal goswami on Jun 12, 2009 12:06 PM

Real has now got lot of attacking midfielders like Kaka, Ronaldo, Guti, Robben, Sneijder and van der Vaart. But they are short on quality defenders. Cannavaro has left. They have only Pepe, Metzelder and Heinze who are not exactly world class. They badly need a couple of good central defenders.

Actually Ronaldo came into limelight only after joining Man U....Thanks to Sir Alex Fergusson for his excellent coaching..Ronaldo will not be a good performer when he joins Real Madrid.Take the example of Van Nistelrooy and David Beckham. They lost all the fame once when they left Man U.Most of the players earn their recognition after joining Man U...

Very true, if not for Sir Alex Fergusson the great coupled with Ronaldo's great game he would not be what he is. I totally agree with what happend to Nistelrooy and Beckham, it seems like they are trying hard to keep up their 'gained fame'. Lets hope for the best, hope Ronaldo (Roonie) does not get disgusted sitting out.... hopefully not most of the times.

godfrey, i agree with you that he got finesse only after he playing for man u, but we hv got to gv it to the player for his brilliance, he is agreat player, who can use both the feet and has very good pace, comes back to help his defenders, very good in the air and ofcourse his free kicks were a class of its own, pls remember he practsed hard even after the practice sessions were over, every palyer has some flaws but one looks at the whole package, i donot agree with many that just be coz manu lost the c/ league final he is not good, a player can hv an off day looking at the games they play round the year, he is a complete footballer. the only thing is he wud hv been a the greatest ever player for man u had he stuck , but , these days players like to fulfill their ambitions whilst they can, this sport can be bad for injuries and like owen, one can lose by not playing.
for me he was a treat to watch, we will definitely miss him this yr at bpl. i wish him the best at madrid, for all you know he may not like it there as we hv seen with beckham/owen/nistelroy. only time will tell

Galacticos part deux??
by michael kolakhe on Jun 11, 2009 10:21 PM  | Hide replies

The maverick is back again at the helm in Real and boy does he know how to grab eyeballs and attention...First Kaka now Cristiano..Looks like he is preparing Real for another shot at bringing together the best 11 players in the world like the last time he did when he was president.....that team came to be eventually known to the footalling world as "Los Galacticos" rumours are that he is also targeting David Villa another top notch player at the top of his game and Franck Ribery the french international......his philosophy i guess is that "you need to spend money to get money" because all these players together will make an advertising behemoth and eventually give double the amount invested on them....of course the Champions league glory will be their target i.e after avenging their humiliation from Barcelona last season....Lets see if the sequel will as good as the original!!!!

Chelsea, tried to bring best players and coach as well, but failed. Liverpool won the champions league even after selling Michael Owen. The way Liverpool and Porto won champions league should be an eye opener to clubs like Real and Chelsea.

NEVER.Cricket is a dyeing sport that constantly needs to reinvent itself. From 5b days to 1 day and noe 20 overs. What next? 5 over games. Cricket world cup is a laugh seeing that ICC has only 7 full members. Ha ha ha ....
