How does it matter.

Indian football is absolutely waste. Has not progressed for years. Mohan bagan and East bengal, JCT all these clubs have been there for years. Infact, they set up a professional league. The league was run so unprofessionally, that nothing has come out of it.

Shame indian football, shame.

Our football is so slow compared to Europe & S.America! Why? Are we undernourished or a weak race? is that the reason we do well in chess, cricket & golf?

Suspension of Baichung Bhutia unjustified.

Mohun Bagan is making Baichung Bhutia a scapegoat. Not that Mohun Bagan fare badly in the I League. They came second in the I League and Bhaichung Bhutia played a major role along with the other players. I don't see any problem if Bhutia participated in a television show. He had informed his coach and the Management. By taking this decision, Mohun Bagan is trying to kill Football in India which is escalating in the International Arena. Bhaichung Bhutia is responsible in many ways for the rise of Indian football and this step of Mohun Bagan is uncalled for. If they are not happy with Bhaichung as he is not happy with Mohun Bagan, let him be released so that other Clubs who recognises the worth of this Star Footballer will welcome him with open arms. I feel Bhaichung should never have joined Mohun Bagan. He was never their player. He was always a player of East Bengal. Even when he was playing for the Club in UK, East Bengal kept tab of him and made him feel at home even when he was away. I am a die hard fan of Dempo and Goa but I respect and admire Bhaichung Bhutia for what he has done for Indian football and also to East Bengal for always taking care of him. I hope that better sense prevail in the Mohun Bagan camp and the ban is lifted and Bhaichung who has a contract with Mohun Bagan for 2 years also be cancelled and he may be made available for other Clubs like Dempo or East Bengal or others and for India very soon.

Socorro Mascarenhas I am a die hard fan of Mohunbagan and I like Baichung also.In this discussing matter do we know all the ins and outs?Yes Mohunbagan Officilas are over doing but what Baichung is doing also?We can remember he said once that He will be never playing for Eastbengal. Now when he is under presure he is showing interest to Eastbengal for what?Is it a honest step from Baichung?Anyway I will be very happy if I see Baichung is playing for Mohunbagan.

The ban does not prevent Bhaichung from playing for India. Though a bit harsh, but sometimes it becomes important to remind the superstars that its not their prerogative to break the norms at will. Bhaichung has been showing lack of commitment towards the last phase of the I league. In football it is difficult to directly link that to Mohunbagan's poor show towards the end. But the exec comm needed to come to some conclusion. This was an obvious one for them. Finally his absence in the Jalpaiguri match sounded the final knell for him. However, this is a watershed decision which can either set a positive or a negative precedence for all footballers. Whatever be it ... if BB has to succumb then football would no longer be same in India. In fact according to some old greats this can bring in more descipline. However, greats who have gone through similar ordeal like Goutam Sarkar, Ashok Banerjee, Sudhir Karmakar have not supported this decision.

//Mohun Bagan, being a very old national club, we have taken this decision//

Bush admin = CPM = Mohan Bagan

- The only guy with Military experience left the Bush admin after the first term.

- CPM expelled their most influential member at the parliament.

- Mohanbagan is messing with their only international level footballer.

the only player who knew football is suspended from its local club... rules are ment to be followed by every one and there cant be any exceptions is understandable but a 6 months ban is no good solution...
