Sachin is not even half of Dhyan Chand, Leander, Anand. They excelled individually & as a team against all odds. Who will forget the nautanki of cricketers when they had to choose to play for country in Commonwealth games or for money in IND-PAK series. How can we forget the sunken faces down soldiers while they played in commonwealth games......

I respect the suggestion of people, but diffcult to write all names...

What I meant was that Leander is a great name for Indian mass....

Since I am frequent traveller to France, Germany, Spain, Norway...I know that people here know Lenader, Dyan Chand, Anand etc...So Leander in in elite group among top 10...

AMIT SENGUPTA
Congrats Leander
by AMIT SENGUPTA on Jun 07, 2009 11:32 AM

I used to hear about this guy from my dad when he used to practice as a teenager with his dad and his mother used to work for ICI India Ltd. It was then that his dad rightly said that I am praised to be gifted with a child who can play any sport only because of his brilliant physique and athleticism. What he did not mention then was his strength in the mond which but deserves to accept a bow from all Indians. He would have been a brilliant footballer had he not played tennis. Few know that he was awarded the best player of the school team in an international outing at Brasil by the legend himself "PELE" which Paes quotes as the most coveted prize phe ever received. Yes, this is the man that he is........the best friend to his brilliantly strong mind which still at this age produces the determination to make such stages be his own. Keep it going Leander and you really deserve more accolades from the media than losers like Sania....but you have won our hearts as well.....Don't you? And the respect that we have for you is way above the lines scripted by the miser , otherwise cheap media.

We should concentrate on tennis. All our tennis champs are their because of their family support. The government did precious little.
