With Service dominating matches, all games are touch and go. One mistake at a crucial point, and it is all over, but luckily thus far, better players have been winning. So, in all probability, it is going to be a Federer-Murray final. It is no use talking about what would have been, if Nadal had participated. Even without him, the final is going to be quite intriguing. Federer has to be treated as the favourite, but only just. He will have to be at his very best to beat Murray. Stakes could not be higher for Federer. If he wins this one, he not just breaks Sampras' record of the number of singles titles won at the Slams, he also regains the World no. 1 crown as suddenly as he had lost it. I must say, despite being a Nadal fan, no.1 is where Federer always belonged. Should Murray win however, Federer shall be relegated to no. 3. I repeat, stakes could not be higher for Federer.

In my previous reply , I had mention that Karlovic will NOT be a threat to Federer, since Karlovic does NOT have real game to his credit, Aishwarya Patil had warned Federer about Threat from Karlovic , which does NOT came out to be True.

Oh Great. So, you can predict better than me. I don't remember predicting Federer would lose. Please look at the relevant page again. Federer played almost impeccable Tennis in this match, but at the same time, Karlovic was not at his best. He managed only 23 aces in 3 sets. On a better day, he would have clubbed double that number. I only said Karlovic was dangerous, and he is dangerous.

My take is simple: 1. Federer has nothing more to prove except perhaps stack up on his records. So, even if he loses, no sweat. As he rightly put it after Karlovic match, 21 consecutive grand slam semis shows his temperament at the Slams, his ability to remain free of injury and play his best at the Slams. Some of his Slam records may not be broken in the near (nay, in the distant) future. 2. Nadal - the million dollar question is, will he overcome the knee injury problem and be his old self again? Given the type of game he played on the dusty bowls of Europe, winning many a clay court tournament, he has punished his body severely. Probably he sacrificed for short term gains ignoring the long term ordeals. Only time will tell whether he will be the same punishing Nadal running after every ball on every court all over the world! 3. Djokovic: Will he turn out to be a one slam wonder? After Australian Open 2008 he has nothing to show. 4. Murray: He has not even won a Grand Slam yet. So, it is too early to comment about his future as a grand slam champion, even if he wins Wimbledon trouncing Federer this year! So, for the present, let us hail King Federer and enjoy the beauty of this incredible champion. Win or lose, his effortless game is a treat to watch!

Hass will surely beat Fedex.Roger was lucky during french open to escape and came from the brink of defeat. Now its hass turn to pay back.If he played like yesterday.

In professional tennis, anything can happen. In yesterday's interview even Federer admitted he would have been more confident had he won last year. And after Nadal shock at this year's French open, it's difficult to predict what can happen when. Haas would be confident after his performance against Fed at French, but wimbledon is different place. Also, Fed is still playing below his 2003-2007 form.

So you mean to say that Nadal also was lucky enough to scrape through in five sets against Federer in last years Wimbledon. Use your brain Mr. Singh.
coz you cant compare opponents of the best players of their time and coz majors were not considered so important before rod laver missed 100s of majors coz of turning pro and contracted pro and was not allowed to play those days, all best plyrs turned pro laver has won a stagerring 199 singles titles plus any no of doubles and mixed doubles the great laver wud have won many more than his 11 singles majors he missed 21 in a row and more just before sweeping all in 69 and after sweeping all in 62 when he use to win every match he missed many in the 70s too he was a true legend people who saw him play at his peak or othrwise say its laver first and then daylight he is someone with most kind and humble words long live laver the champion likewise maragret court wud have won more than her record 24 singles majors anyway-shes the best ever i dont read posts i dont reply to
Just hope to see Fedex beat Nadal in a 5 setter in a French open final before he retires. Its not for the records but for the sheer pleasure of watching 2 great players, one with authority on the surface and other over the game. God persay any victor is accepted on such a day

Stupid comment......Pete Sampras would have ripped open Nadal on any surface except clay...........
And Pistol Pete would have been more than an even contest even against Federer.....

Its dream of many like you and Me . But I will go one step ahead and say it will be hard to beat NADAL in 5 setter on clay . REMEMBER I am hard core FAN of FEDEX .
Though Nadal is one of the greats of all time, he may not be able to last as long as Federer has, simply bcoz he is basically a power player and its hard to sustain that sort of fitness for over years. Fatigue is already showing up in his game.

shd be FedExpress vs Britain's Murray final!!!! winner: obvious 15th Grand Slam for Roger & Safina vs Serena in women's final!!!
There are some people visiting here posing as experts in tennis followers and start to do their bit of prediction... which turn out to be nonsense. India was a country of astrologers and people now also dont want to leave this practice.
