Hockey is our truly national game. Please bring back those days we dominated in this game. Come on India.. and the Indian government should support our hockey players to come up. CHAKDE INDIA
Apart from these 2 consecutive wins over Argentina, Indian team put a stellar performance by reaching the final in a tournament in Australia. They lost to Aus 1-2 in the final in a very close match.
Good show Indian Hockey team, keep it up!
Had it been cricket, the corporates and media would have gone ga.ga. But for any other sport, they completely ignore.
Ok, so India beat Argentina in a Test series. But dont get carried away by this performance. The real test for Indian hockey is first to qualify for the 2012 Olympics and also win a medal (gold? u joking?) at the 2010 Asian Games and Commonwealth Games. The only real yardstick to judge Indian hockey is the World Cup and the Olympics. Rest of tournaments are all a big tamasha.

This is one example of how we treat hocky when our team is victorious. Announce a crore of rupees to each player if they win Olympic Gold Medal. Our hocky players need motivation to win the tournaments. We have seen the responses in the past when our lads win major tournaments. We are experts in cricising players but we hardly recognise their victory when they achieve after thrilling match.

Very irresponsible comment indeed. Such acts are highly demotivating. If we compare with cricket, only once we got the world cup but, hockey has given us 8 GOLD medals so far.
