The year's Tennis season starts with Chennai and Qatar Open. Players need atleast 3 weeks practice time in places like Brisbane, Sydney and elsewhere before they move over to Australian Open. Starting during the week of Australia Day (Jan 26th) make more sense.
Anyway, why do they have just 3 weeks between the French Open and Wimbledon? Isn't that too short?
