WHY IS IT THAT WE HAVE ONLY ONE DECENT PLAYER ON THE SCCENE IN ANY INDIVIDUAL SPORT?BE IT SANIA MIRZA FOR WOMENS TENNIS OR SAINA NEHWAL IN BADMINTON.THE DOMESTIC CIRCUIT IS JUST NOT COMPETITIVE ENOUGH OR ELSE WE WOULD HAVE ATLEAST 2 TO 3 PLAYERS OF THE SAME CLASS AT ANY GIVEN POINT OF TIME.

Because we do not have infrastructure and apart from cricket no other sport gets corporate money. The one or two who come up do it with their own talent / resources. Example - Abhinav Bindra - his father built a private shooting range for him.

India is a land of diversity with so many different Languages and people so many different Classes (financially) All of us may not be an expert in English Language. We need to appreciate the courage of people like Shiv swaroop to come in and converse in English to put a point forward. Let's be One India !!!

Watching him play against Romania in the Davis Cup was a treat and he is a very sweet person outside the court as well when he joined us a nice photo shoot. Well done Somdev, this is indeed one of the stepping stones in your career. Hope you will shine brighter and elevate India's level in World Tennis in the near future. Jai Hind.
