Indians have the skills, no question. But they don't have good physique and stamina. They can't withstand the brute strength of the players from Europe and Australia. Unless this handicap is addressed and corrected how can these players perform at International level? It is the same story over and over again. They will lose and get humiliated.
In India we have realized in Cricket that by having a good coach whether from India or abroad , we are going to lose nothing but we gain only. When are we going to learn this in Hockey is a point in moot. Is it the sickening hangover of the KPS Gill era or is it our vain ego that has prevented us from getting coaches who can instill modern day techniques to our team. We took Charlesworth as advisor and true to our potential , made his life miserable by showing the fangs of our petty politics and penny wise pound foolish behaviour and repelled him and today he has shown you what we lack and what we lost. Wake up IHF, Wake up.

A cricket player can get one crore as a single reward amount from government, but National Hockey players (all combined) probably do not get this much reward money even in the entire year.
