Friends, Whether you like it or not, just going by the fan following and familiarity of the game, CRICKET is by and large the National Game of India. What does National game means - the game which is most loved and followed by citizens. It is obviously cricket.
Those who are jealous of Cricket being followed too much should understand that if they want they (Hockey or whatever game) should compete with Cricket and break this - only then they can claim it to be a National Game. As for me, CRICKET IS THE NATIONAL GAME OF INDIA. Whether it has to be announced officially or not it doesnt matter. EARN IT - DESERVE IT. As of now hockey doesnt deserve it.

Dude, please dont show your dumbness to everyone...you know nothing about history of both sports..just b'cos cricket is popular now (past 2 and a half decades) it does not mean you overlook what was popular before that...Indian hockey has been popular since 1920's. Please check your facts before showing your ignorance. All thing goes through ups and downs..a decade later Tennis might be more popular, so you would want to change the National Sport again...!! your are a joke when it comes to thinking and talking..!!

Very Good Rakesh. These people can appriciate when Indian Crik team wins against Kenya, BanDesh and zim. but not able to appriciate for Indain win over Germany and Newzeland....he become Mad due to cricket.
Congrats Indian hockey team.Though you lost the fiercely contested final, u matched your highly rated opponents in every aspect of the game. Your positive attitude and fighting spirit has won the hearts of hockey fans.Carry on the positive spirit and do not look back!!Edgar Menezes,Margao,Goa
this is only the start. we should build a good team to win the olympic gold in may be 2016. If we win one olympic gold and one world cup, the madness of cricket can be minimized.

I can't see Indian team to rank in the top 5 team in near future. Yesterday India missed lot of penality corner as usual. They were not even able to beat the Holland (most of player were A team player). we have not learnt from the past mistake. We did the same mistake as we are doing for last 20 years.
Firstly i would like to say well played and dot give up. Keep on fighting until u reach a desired goal. We INDIAN's cheer's for u. Chak De INDIA, Jai Hind
