F-1 is here to stay
by savio alosious on Nov 11, 2009 04:04 PM

Formula 1 has faced many adversities in the past and have come through it. Though many of us may believe that F1 has become boring I would like to differ. In fact this season has been one of the closest in recent years. And different teams were strong at different times. In the beginning Brawn were unbeatable but in the second half Mclaren and Red bull were better and even Force India did a good show. Therefore I believe that the fan following of formula 1 will keep increasing each year..... Cheers

F1 had become boring for some time
by pratap tiwary on Feb 16, 2009 12:42 PM

I have been an F1 fan for a long time but always wondered at the feasibility of such an expensive race. However the thrill of watching the race made up for everything else. In the last few years though it started to become boring. Not the championship race, because it is more evenly contest now than the schumi days. but the race itself. There is no overtaking, very few risks, and only the timing of pitstops as a strategy. The cars competing were also too disproportionately unequal. There were only two teams fighting with each other and others far far behind. I know during Schumi days he used to win everything as well but the other drivers were still competing for second place and there was some suspense there. Now with more cost cutting it will just become a circus because only the big players will invest a little bit and others will only make the crowd. I doubt they will even finish the race.
I havent lost hope on it yet but I just hope that this recession provides a level playing field to all the players and a little more excitement to viewers.
