Federer hard luck
by Karunakaran Nair on Feb 02, 2009 06:14 PM

In my view federer had a mental block against playing nadal. And Nadal is winning the big points at the correct time while federer yesterday served below par of his actual serve and I still belives federer is the stylish player and will break sampras record at any cost. This time hard luck and better luck for next time.

Roger the champion
by dudeman on Feb 02, 2009 06:04 PM  | Hide replies

Roger has the most elegant game and the best. He already has 13 grandslam titles. and he is only 27. so if he plays till 35 he will make it atleast 20 titles.

I've not read any message and I'm not coming here again to read anything on this discussion.

It is not Federe's age that counts but Nadals's (22) till another youngster pitches in! what a wierd calculation Federer is 27 so hecan make 20 more titles

Yesterday's Federer Nadal Match
by Ravi S on Feb 02, 2009 05:59 PM  | Hide replies

I thought it was like women's match. Only 10 aces. Even Venus used to hit harder than both of them. Serena will easily kick Roger in a boxing match. I think they need to put in little more weight and play more aggressively. It was a useless match though it went for 5 sets.

I have been observing that all the Hindustan Times articles on sports or any other major events are word-to-word same as that of on rediff.com... do they have any contract or someone is just copying from the others

Why are you not trying to understand what Federer fans want to say?
1.If you have any knowledge of tennis, you should understand the reason behind Federer defeat. He felt pressure against Nadal. Thats why he made mistakes on crucial stages. There is nothing like Nadal plays better than Federer.
2.In age of 27 he is reaching GrandSlam final. Even Nadal able to win against them in 5 sets, while he is on peak and only 22. It shows Federer is not finished. Like he proved in US Open where Nadal was not in the final.

Federer should have won
by harish on Feb 02, 2009 04:24 PM

Roger Federer should have won the match. He has a mental jinx. He needs to overcome that first. Then all will fall in place
