Ignorant people who started watching F1 only after late 90s will make such comments. When Schumacher joined Ferrari, Ferrari was probably worse than what Force India is today. Schumacher and Ross Brawn joined Ferrari in 1996 and ferrari won constructor's championship in 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003 and 2004. Before that, do you know, when was the last time Ferrari won constructor's championship ? Way back in 1983. So, Schemacher doesnt need Ferrari. rather its the other way round.

Chandu Chowdary, U FOOL, try and accept Facts. Ferrari is great team, No doubt about that. (I was also little upset when he didn't join ferrari) But after 1983, they were in v.bad situation. Some drivers commented ferrari cars as truck, pig etc, their pit stop were great joke. When Schumi joined Ferrari after his double world championship with Benetton, experts said it was his career suicide. But he built the winning team by pulling Ross Brawn, Rory Bryne and others. Then ferrari started tasting the victories (back to glory) with schumi. When u don't know the facts learn it or when somebody says listen to it. So shut ut nasty mouth and wait for next year.
Dear Schumi....my god revive ur energy to win ur 8th title and put the sport back on track after economic turmoil....F1 will be back with a bang....but why Mercedes..u should drive only only only Ferrari...

i certainly hope not. racers are extra ordinary individuals whose reflexes are truly one in a million. this was shown in a study to understand the racers. add to it, schumi has been actively racing at high levels even outside of the official competition. so i think he's upto it for sure.

yeah, thats the reason he dint participate last year's edition. but these guys are tough, they workout like crazy - few kilometres of cycling, swimming, joggin every single day, not to mention neck strengthening exercises.

Well, a couple of things here... Building and strengthening the neck muscle is not at all a problem. Am sure, he's done that already. And 41 is just a number when it comes to such an "active" racer. He got the injury in a motorcycle crash which is totally different to a F1 car. I guess, it's going to be a fight between youth and experience which everyone is looking forward to. $10m is nothing to him and he's not going for the money. If you recall, he announced a donation of $10m for the tsunami victims immediately on hearing the disaster when some governments had only pledged less than $5m.

yes racing at Formula 1 at 41 is really dangerous health-wise even if no accidents occur but do not say like 'Its definitely going to become a tragedy of sorts'. I am sure Schumi must have weighed all the pros and cons and not agreed just for finance sake.

well finance must also be there... after all 10 million dollars a year is good money! but more than that - he's got racing in his veins! he may be controversial, but he's a fantastic racer, and he will do all it takes to win. his races with hakkinen was the best, i have immense respect for hakkinen and the competition he gave schumi

Schumi is paid $20Million by Ferrari, not for racing for so called 'consultancy'. he is racer so in fact he is sacrificing $10 million for racing.

his decision isn't for money or title obsession..or any emotional decision.. its a logical and practical decision.. its only cause his health permits..and he's very fit.. just the way sachin keeps enjoying his game even after 20 yrs..and at this age.. so does MS>. his health permitted him to do so for one more year.. he wasn't fit when ferrari asked him to replace massa.. or else he would have done it right then.. F1 demands extreme fitness and skills and not emotional comebacks..

these decisions are taken up only after passing certain medical and technical requirements.. they are not emotional comebacks as they seem.. to many here.. MS is driving for money.. he earned enough.. its his love for the F1 which money can't buy.. only competing can give u that pleasure..
