There should be big welcome. One very strange thing, I found, when India won, I tried to find on any nws channel, there is even glimpse of this news, But nowhere. But, there was breaking news that Yuvraj Singh finger has been injured. But, news channels did not able to adjust this good news.
Strange that such a big news is not among the top stories. It's sadly burried inside minor sports news. Media is largely responsible in this country for not promoting football, whereas it is the most polular sport all over the world.

Yea man! victory over Maldives...worlds super power in football. Its ranked somewhere in the 200, and India reqd penalties to win it. Thank god it wasnt playing S korea... Which is bigger, india reaching no1 in cricket, or 150 in fifa rankings? No brainer man

well Sandeep, tou shouls recognise money behind football and the under 23 team versus a full team, remember all the top ranked team have a population lesser than India even in Cricket
