Its great to see India win in Hockey. They are winning inspite of the system and not because of the system. Little bit of professionalism in Hockey administration in India can do wonders and make India the world champions.
Hockey runs in the blood of Indians and it comes naturally to them. Hope our hockey administrators will work with sincerity and revive this wonderful game.

aree idiot guru these r only sardar who r trying to keep alive our national game..so u should thankful to them.
good work and keep it up. We need many more wins like this to keep memory on Hockey. otherwise cricket crazy Indians forget this game very soon not withstanding long back Olympic golds.

I can understand your emotions but would we be able to see quality hockey as all the participating nations are ranked very low in table

Hockey in India in recent times is a sad story. If you closely watch, there are 2 groups playing in a calendar in different tournaments. One which is the elite group comprising top 8 teams and the rest under the other group. India in the second group play tournaments which are not rated high and does not add value to the country. India is yet to play with the elite teams in the past few years. This should change and 8 time olympians should only play with stronger teams and not like this one. But Who can bring the change? It is the indian government and the ex-hockey players who must act promptly and prepare a strategy to overcome this hurdle. Don't know if this is possible otherwise India wud be playing in these sort of tournaments only unfortunately.

I really admire china, despite hockey not a much loved sport in their country they are among the top 12 teams in the world. had they got enough recognitions in hockey in their own country, who knows they also will be playing in elite group.
