by Sunit Kumar on Aug 27, 2009 02:57 PM

On one hand u have the usual Bhikari_aam_janta which has been like that for last 60 years and on the other hand u have this middle_class which aims SKY....

But my point is this aam_janta will always be trash, u have it in US......because we have trash we cant have POSH CASH is not a valid argument .....

But than the TRASH votes, the CASH does not !!!

i watch this race regularly since it happens on sundays and it is team game.If you want the proof that it is team game you should have watched the last race.Hamilton was holding pole position and lead till his first stop. There because of his team he lost it .

Indian officials should visit an F1 race
by franklin wilson on Aug 27, 2009 02:54 PM

I had the good fortune for being at the Melbourne race this year.Man its mind blowing.
Indian government is doing what it does best, object to everything and eating up vast sums of money in bribes.

I am sure bullock cart racing is not an olympic sport too.Why does it allow that to go on.

Not P1 for India

If you compare to the current countries which
hold F1 race, I think we are still lagging
behind by 10 years in-terms of infrastructure.
Instead of spending money on such events We should focus on other basic issues. Roads , Power infrastructure.

Indian F1 Grand prix Plans hit a roadblock
by NIRANJAN GANJAWALLA on Aug 27, 2009 02:41 PM  | Hide replies

F1 Car Racing is the most widely viewed event worldwide after events likethe Cricket world cup final, the wimbledon finals, the FIFA World Cup finals and the US Baseball Finals.

The F1 also would help in prducing high class technologies for the vehicles taking part and therefore for commercial cars as also in the making of roads.

As India is raving up to occupy the top slots in the world economic scenario and have already all the know brand names in food, jewellery, accessories, cars, games, etc.,as also the keen interest in indians following the world sports events it it necessary to have the F1 Staged here in India.

Due to this event India and indians in all ares and sectors would stand to benefit a lot, both directly and indirectly.

I am sure that the venue on which the event would be held would be a total soldout and the telecast rights for the same would fetch at least 10 times in foreign exchange the price paid the F1 Administration, each F1 race held.

I think the finance Minstry should consider clear the proposal and allow the promoters to remit the fee to the F1 Administration.

Dont worry they will do it. They are waiting for the promoters to give their party's share. After all elections are not fought cheap. It costs money.
