Cheap publicity
by Monte on Aug 25, 2009 10:52 AM

I fully agree with what Gaurav says. Yes, indian futbol is too pathetic and wonder why indian media and columnist give too less importance to futbol. when india defeat kyrgistan, i too hope that atleast rediff and newspapers will mention in the front page, but rather in the DUSTbin..
Moreover, i find those sports correspondence of leading Indian newspapers, especially TOI sooo unprofesional.. I think these people just give a report just by their own imagination.. They need to analyse the match, see the match and give their report...
Indian Futbol should be included in the list of endangered species...

these rediff people and all of these media persons should die in a mud pool for treating indian football so badly..instead of being this victory as the first page news its being relegated to some corner in sports section...all over the sports section there is the mention of Ashes...ok its a great win by england but how does it affects our country...why can't they give more importance to india's win in nehru cup over this win...which is more important to us indians...sadly in the sports section also there is more mention of english premier league than bhutia's achievement.

India need to produce more results
by Monte on Aug 24, 2009 11:30 AM

Good to see India bounced back to victory after dissapointing initial result against lebanon. Bhutia was outstanding. In the midfield steven dias is performing well. In the defence, gourmangi was the pick of the day.
India need to win all the other matches remaining to seal a berth to final.
Yesterday, climax lawrence was useless. He should be replaced by reneddy singh, whose experience is needed in this need of the hour..
Hope India produces fine results in the upcoming matches.
