it was on record.. he was trying to become a cricket fast bowler. his coach and team mates had told him his runup to the crease his more fast than his bowling and didnt take him.

May be we would have missed these world records, and he would have perished with the current west indian team.
The fact that the person behind him came in almost half a second later means no one was really pushing him. He ran that fast because he enjoys running fast. Imagine what the timings will be if someone really pushes him !!!
Bolt last WR in 200m was on the same day last year ... I know all of u know ... but felt to share ... lets not compare him with our country ppl ... lets be inspired and do something different ... adios
he is planning to visit india.canthe media and our government give a vast coverage highlighting his acheivment to every village in india.who knows one day we may have one usain bolt in our country

yes that is a huge margin. The guy is 6'5 in height so that helps but still amazing.
Watched both races and bloody hell , he wasnt even trying or was it just natural flair ? He looked relaxed and let those bloody long legs just power past everyone else in 6th gear.Brilliant , natural athelete. Also fun loving and typical laid back carribean. Wiki says that he wanted to be a fast bowler and Waqar Younis is his favorite bowler and he admires Sachin,Gayle and Hayden.Good thing he never came into cricket !!

Can you imagine if he came into credit how the umpires would struggle to count the no of runs he ran. Probably need to use slow mo to count the runs- another use of the third umpire. Also the pressure the opposite batsman will face when it comes to running between wickets! by the time Bolt runs two he would have completed possibly only half a run!!

.. and we were thus deprived of watching another good fast bowler bundling out our overrated Indian cricketers for peanuts.
Imagine he is running at same speed be it 100 or a 200 meters race!!! Reminds of what Russell Peters told about Indian way of appreciating... "TOO GOOD and MIND BLASTING" performance

Why are u so stupid...he could have been born in carribean, but his anscestors came from Africa.. will say an indian settled in fiji or mauritius as not indian..you cannot remove race from where you are settling..ofcourse he is an african..may be you can call him african carribean (like african americans)..

The red meat which most of the african takes is half boiled or raw. And it reduces the life of them. In case f usain bolt - its the gift of god !

Well dere is one possible answer to why ppl with dark complection-africans or afro americans or for example kenyans win most of the athletic races..is the presence of high melanin.wen running-excess heat is generated which is released slower into the atmosphere than fair runners.to release the heat more sweating takes place which caused more catabolism and hence greater energy generation. This concept is proven and more valid and visible in the marathon races tht are run..
